Kia officially introduced the upgraded version of the small CUV Sonet model on December 14.
The car comes in 7 configurations, including HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTX+, GTX+ and X-Line. Among them, X-Line is the highest-end version, with a different exterior compared to the remaining versions.
The highlight of the 2024 Kia Sonet X-Line is the exclusive Xclusive Matte Graphite gray paint. In addition, the car has a black grille and front/rear bumper, creating a rugged and aggressive look. The 5-spoke wheels are dual-tone black and gray and have a size of 16 inches.
Kia Sonet 2024 has significantly upgraded exterior with new headlamps surrounded by LED daytime running lights and turn signals with a star map-inspired design. At the rear, there is a continuous taillight that stretches across the width of the car, similar to the new Kia Seltos.
The 2024 Kia Sonet also has a much more modern interior compared to the previous version. Some notable features include a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a Bose 7-speaker audio system, automatic air conditioning with air filtration, power sunroof with voice-controlled Alexa.
The 2024 Kia Sonet also adds advanced driver assistance technology features, including lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, driver attention warning, lane following assist, headlamp assist, early collision warning and avoidance, and forward collision warning with pedestrian detection. Additionally, the car is equipped with a 360-degree camera, front parking sensors, and rear disc brakes.
The car is powered by 3 engine options, including both petrol and diesel. The first is a 1.2L petrol engine with a maximum power of 83 horsepower and a peak torque of 115 Nm. The second is a 1.0L turbocharged petrol engine with a power of 120 horsepower and a torque of 172 Nm. Finally, there is a 1.5L diesel engine with a maximum power of 116 horsepower and a peak torque of 250 Nm.
The 2024 Kia Sonet will be officially launched in India early next year. The manufacturer has not yet announced the new selling price of this model.
