Below are the cars that will debut in the Vietnamese market in the remaining months of 2023 and the beginning of 2024.

1. Mitsubishi Xforce

The Mitsubishi Xforce is a model that is receiving a lot of attention from Vietnamese users. The car is imported from Indonesia and will be officially launched on January 10, 2024, with 4 versions.

Among them, the highest-end version is equipped with 2-tone exterior, power trunk, premium Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium sound system, ADAS driving assist package including adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning and mitigation, automatic headlights, forward vehicle movement reminder, blind spot warning with rear cross-traffic alert. The lower version also has ADAS but with slightly fewer features.

2. VinFast VF 7

VinFast VF 7, a pure electric SUV of the Vietnamese brand, is also receiving a lot of attention from consumers thanks to its attractive design, advanced technology, and abundant power. It is expected that the first commercial VF 7 models will be handed over to customers before the Lunar New Year.

VinFast VF 7 has a listed price ranging from 850 to 999 million VND (Base and Plus versions, excluding battery). However, thanks to a 100% registration fee exemption and a discount of 30 million VND on the selling price (for customers who make a deposit before 24h of December 30, 2023), the on-road price of the VF 7 is even lower than the listed price, even lower than the leading prices in the C-SUV segment.

In addition, VinFast VF 7 also features the VF Connect intelligent service package with smart features such as virtual assistant with voice interaction in various Vietnamese dialects, vehicle control and inquiry, comedy storytelling; automatic emergency call service; intrusion detection and warning; real-time vehicle monitoring and display… These features are only available on VinFast electric cars, completely different from petrol models in the same segment.

3. Hyundai Venue

The next model expected to be launched in Vietnam immediately this December is the Hyundai Venue. This is a global product of the Korean brand, belonging to the A-segment crossover SUV segment, competing with rivals such as the Kia Sonet and Toyota Raize.

Compared to the Kia Sonet with a youthful, dynamic design, the Hyundai Venue follows a more restrained design style. It is currently unknown about the equipment configuration and distribution method of this model in Vietnam. However, in global markets, Hyundai offers a variety of engine options for the Venue.

Specifically, Venue has options such as a 1.2L petrol engine, a 1.0L turbocharged engine, or a 1.5L diesel engine with respective outputs of 83 horsepower, 120 horsepower, and 116 horsepower. The car is offered with 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmissions. In addition, users can also choose a 1.6L petrol engine with a power output of 121 horsepower.

The presence of the Venue will provide Vietnamese customers with more options in the affordable crossover SUV segment that is attracting many carmakers.

4. Haima 7X and Haima 7X-E

The next two new models to be introduced to Vietnamese consumers belong to the MPV segment from the Chinese brand Haima, named Haima 7X and Haima 7X-E. The petrol and pure electric versions of this 7X model will officially enter the Vietnamese market on December 17, 2023. The cars are imported from China with an expected price starting from around 850 million VND (~$37,400) for the petrol version and over one billion VND (~$44,000) for the electric version.

In terms of design, the Haima 7X has a futuristic design with soft, minimalist lines. The interior of the car has 3 rows of seats arranged in a 2+2+3 configuration. Specifically, the middle row is two separate seats, while the last row comfortably accommodates 3 adults. The design of both the petrol and electric versions is almost identical in terms of exterior and interior.

Currently, the Chinese automaker has not officially announced the engine specifications of the petrol-powered Haima 7X. Meanwhile, the pure electric 7X-E version will be equipped with a 71.37 kWh battery, allowing the car to travel a maximum distance of 510 km on a full charge. The electric motor is mounted on the front axle, delivering a power output of 201 horsepower and a torque of 340 Nm. With this power, the car is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds.

5. Lynk & Co 09

Another Chinese car model that is also about to be introduced in Vietnam is the Lynk & Co 09. This is the flagship SUV of the Chinese luxury brand Lynk & Co, featuring a 12.8-inch head-up display, a 12 + 6-inch central touch screen, NAPPA leather seats with massage function, 4 BOSE speakers…

The Lynk & Co 09 is powered by a 2.0L turbocharged engine and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The car has mild-hybrid (MHEV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) variants with the highest power output of around 427 horsepower.
