Yesterday, on December 16, 2023, the Chinese car brand Lynk & Co officially launched in the Vietnamese market. The subsidiary brand of Geely Group will distribute cars in Vietnam through GreenLynk Automotives Joint Stock Company.
At the launch event, Lynk & Co introduced three SUV models: 01, 05, and 09. However, at the moment, only the price of Lynk & Co 09 has been announced, starting from 2.199 billion VND. This price is not surprising as Lynk & Co is positioned as a premium brand of Geely Group.
Compared to competitors in the large SUV segment such as Ford Explorer and Volkswagen Teramont, this Chinese car model has the advantage of price. However, Lynk & Co 09 is significantly more expensive than Hyundai Palisade.
As the largest and most expensive product of the Lynk & Co brand in Vietnam, the 09 is developed based on the SPA platform. The car has dimensions of 5,042 x 1,977 x 1,780 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 2,984 mm.
The 09 has the distinctive exterior design of the Lynk & Co brand. This can be clearly seen in the front-end design with a large grille and a two-tiered lighting system. Above are two strips of LED daytime running lights, while the headlights are placed below. The LED headlights of Lynk & Co 09 have 4 lighting modes, including city, rural, highway, rain, and fog.

Furthermore, Lynk & Co 09 is equipped with 20-inch alloy wheels with a strong multi-spoke design and hidden/retractable door handles to reduce aerodynamic drag and create a sleeker design for the side of the car. Behind this E-class SUV model are LED taillights with a 3D energy bar design, dual exhaust pipes, and an integrated windshield wiper. According to Lynk & Co, this windshield wiper design not only limits the driver’s visibility but also improves its durability.

Inside the Lynk & Co 09 is a 3-row interior with 7 seats. Lynk & Co states that all the windows of the car, including the sunroof, are double-layered soundproof and heat-insulated glass to ensure the most comfortable feeling for passengers.
In addition to its spacious size, the interior of Lynk & Co 09 exudes a modern and high-tech vibe with the presence of 6 screens. Specifically, this large-sized SUV is equipped with a digital instrument cluster with a 12.3-inch screen, a 12-inch center touchscreen, a head-up display, a touchscreen for air conditioning adjustment, and 2 small screens integrated into 2 rotary knobs. The center touchscreen of the car supports connection with smartphones via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

To ensure safety for users, this large-sized SUV has a range of features such as 6 airbags, 360-degree camera, hill start assist, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic parking assist, emergency lane-keeping assist, lane-change assist, adaptive cruise control, highway driving assist, door-open collision warning, emergency automatic braking, pre-collision warning, active headlights, lane departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and driver attention warning.
Under the hood of Lynk & Co 09 is a mild hybrid powertrain, consisting of a turbocharged 4-cylinder gasoline engine with a displacement of 2.0L, delivering a maximum power of 254 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 350 Nm at 1,800 – 4,800 rpm. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel-drive system. The average fuel consumption of this 2.12-ton SUV is 8.9 liters/100 km. Finally, it has 4 standard driving modes (Eco, Normal, Sport, Individual) and 4 off-road driving modes (snow, sand, rock, mud).
