In 2023, HVN is honored to accompany the People’s Committee of Vinh Phuc province in the “2024 Planting Campaign” through the “Keeping Vietnam Green with Honda” activity. Especially, this year’s tree planting activity is implemented by HVN with a total area of 8.03 hectares at 3 locations in Vinh Phuc province including Green Park – Tay Thien Festival Center, the eastern beltway of Tam Dao district, and the road connecting Dong Dau bridge with Hop Chau – Dong Tinh road, with a total of 3,100 trees of various types.

The “Keeping Vietnam Green with Honda” activity will contribute to bringing green landscapes and clean air to the people here. At the same time, it is also a prerequisite for HVN and the People’s Committee of Vinh Phuc province to aim at recognizing the planted area as the basis for issuing Carbon credits, thereby balancing emissions and contributing to the national goal of coping with climate change as well as Honda Motor’s global goal of Carbon neutrality by 2050.

As part of the ceremony, on the morning of December 16, Mr. Koji Sugita – General Director of HVN together with about 300 Honda employees and about 300 representatives from departments, districts, cities, national front committees, organizations, units, armed forces, representatives of ethnic groups, and students of Tam Dao district and local people joined hands to plant over 1,600 urban green trees (equivalent to 4.33 hectares) at Green Park – Tay Thien Festival Center.

Also in the morning of the same day, Ms. Do Thu Hoang – Deputy General Director of Honda Vietnam Co., Ltd. presented commemorative stones to representatives of Tam Dao district People’s Committee along the eastern beltway of Tam Dao district and the road connecting Dong Dau bridge with Hop Chau – Dong Tinh road to recognize nearly 1,500 urban green trees (equivalent to 3.07 hectares) that HVN has greened in this December.

With the active response of all participants and strong determination to act for the environment, HVN believes that this will be a basis for further raising awareness of environmental protection for employees, local people, and the community.
