On December 26, the VinFast fanpage officially announced the information about the delivery time of the VF 6 smart electric car model to customers, which surprised many people. Specifically, after 3 months of launch in the Vietnamese market (September 29, 2023), the first commercial VF 6 cars will officially hit the road from December 30, 2023.

Customers who have deposited for VinFast’s B-SUV model are excited because they will receive the car before Tet, to meet their family travel needs and also enjoy the Lunar New Year with their favorite car. “What I like the most is that I don’t have to pay extra to receive the car before Tet like many petrol car buyers. I am very satisfied with VinFast’s thoughtful customer care policy,” shared Hau Vu on an electric car forum, receiving many supporting and agreeing opinions from members.

What is particularly impressive is that VinFast will deliver the VF 6 car in just 2 months after the deposit is made. This time period is equivalent to the waiting time to receive some petrol car models on the market, but only VF 6 customers can experience the excitement of being one of the first people in the world to own a completely new car model. This also continues to affirm the reputation of the Vietnamese car manufacturer, keeping the commitment to deliver cars to customers in 2023. “It’s true that VinFast keeps its word,” shared Thanh Nguyen, an excited customer recently contacted by VinFast to receive the car.

Therefore, VF 6 will be the 5th electric car model officially launched by VinFast for commercial purposes, following VF e34, VF 8, VF 9, and VF 5 Plus. With the delivery of VF 6 just 2 months after the deposit (October 20, 2023), VinFast is demonstrating its increasing ability to master technology and optimize the production process, as the time from deposit to car delivery is increasingly shortened.

“The delivery of VF 6 to customers just 2 months after the deposit with a very high level of completion is evidence of the growing capabilities of the Vietnamese car manufacturer in research, development, and car production,” said Tran Quoc Huy, a marketing expert in the automotive industry.

VF 6 Plus with outstanding 150 kW and 310 Nm engines in the B segment

VF 6 has two versions: Base and Plus. The Base version has a listed price of 675 million VND (excluding battery) and 765 million VND (including battery); the Plus version has a listed price of 765 million VND (excluding battery) and 855 million VND (including battery). Both versions of VF 6 are equipped with a 59.6 kWh LFP battery with a corresponding operating range of 399 km and 381 km per full charge (according to WLTP standards). The car features an electric motor with a maximum power of 100 kW and 150 kW, corresponding to a maximum torque of 135 Nm and 310 Nm, superior to other petrol models in the same segment, offering an exciting and exhilarating driving experience.

Like other members of VinFast’s “electric car family,” VF 6 has many advanced technologies and intelligent features such as pre-collision warning, lane change warning, front/rear parking assist, blind spot warning, 360-degree surround monitoring, VinFast virtual assistant with multi-dialect Vietnamese voice interaction for vehicle control and Q&A, stand-up comedy storytelling, etc.

Especially, starting from the beginning of 2024, VinFast will add more ADAS features to the VF 6 (Plus version) through free remote software updates, such as traffic jam assist, highway driving assist, lane-keeping assist and centering, adaptive journey monitoring, traffic sign recognition, emergency braking (front/rear), etc., making the car smarter over time and bringing new experiences to users.

VF 6 is applying a monthly battery rental fee of only 1.8 million VND if driving under 3,000 km per month and 3 million VND if driving over 3,000 km per month (with no mileage limit). According to calculations, the electric SUV’s energy cost is less than 500 VND per km, which is 2 to 3 times lower than that of petrol cars in the same segment.

In addition to energy costs, VF 6 also has the advantage of extremely low maintenance costs due to its simple structure with an electric motor powertrain, requiring fewer repair and replacement parts compared to traditional petrol cars. The more it is driven, the more the VF 6 electric car owners can save on maintenance costs. This is one of the advantages that helps VF 6 quickly gain favor from many Vietnamese families.

VF 6 is one of the top choices in the B-SUV segment. VinFast’s car has been honored as “Exemplary Passenger Car for Families” at the Better Choice Awards 2023 and has been nominated for many other prestigious automotive awards in Vietnam.
