The MG5 is currently the cheapest C-segment sedan in the Vietnamese market. However, its sales performance has not been optimal, leading to some 2022 MG5 models (with 2022 VIN numbers) still remaining in stock. In order to clear the inventory, dealerships have decided to heavily discount the 2022 VIN MG5 models.
Accordingly, a dealership in the Hanoi area is currently offering the 2022 VIN MG5 standard variant at a price of only 370 million VND. Therefore, compared to the listed price of 523 million VND, this dealership is offering a discount of 153 million VND. At the same time, this discounted price is comparable to A-segment models in Vietnam such as the Kia Morning, Hyundai Grand i10, and Toyota Wigo.
Naturally, the availability of these attractively priced 2022 VIN MG5 STD models in terms of color and quantity will be limited. This dealership currently only has 2 MG5 STD models with 2022 VIN numbers available, in red and black colors.
Compared to 2023 models, there is no difference in terms of design or equipment for the 2022 VIN MG5 STD. However, these models may experience greater depreciation if sold again.
In Vietnam, the MG5 is currently available in 2 versions: STD and Lux, with prices ranging from 523 to 588 million VND. In addition, in September of this year, the Chinese automaker also introduced a MG5 variant with the previous design, priced from 399 to 499 million VND.

In the STD variant, the MG5 is equipped with notable features such as LED headlights with automatic on/off function, adjustable headlight height, guide lights, rear fog lights, LED taillights, 16-inch wheels, and electric/folding/integrated turn signal mirrors.
Inside the car, the MG5 STD is equipped with fabric seats, a 3-spoke sports steering wheel with integrated function buttons, an analog instrument cluster with a 3.5-inch screen, a 10-inch touchscreen center display, support for Android Auto/Apple CarPlay connectivity, and a 4-speaker sound system.
The MG5 STD is powered by a 1.5L 4-cylinder gasoline engine, delivering a maximum power of 113 horsepower and a peak torque of 150 Nm. The engine is paired with an 8-speed simulated CVT transmission and a front-wheel drive system.
Finally, there are safety features such as 2 airbags, ABS with electronic brake force distribution (EBD), electronic stability control (ESC), traction control system, cornering brake control, hill start assist, tire pressure monitoring, reverse camera, and rear parking sensors.
