In October 2023, Isuzu confirmed the upcoming launch of a brand-new electric pickup truck. Sources suggest that this is the electric version of the D-Max. The vehicle is expected to be manufactured in Thailand under the name E-Max or D-Max EV.
Details about Isuzu’s all-electric pickup truck are still unknown. However, enthusiasts can get a preview of the design of the D-Max EV through impressive design sketches from the YouTube channel AutomagzPro.
According to these sketches, at least two variations of Isuzu’s electric pickup truck were designed: one variant with illuminated Isuzu logo and another variant directly inspired by the current version of the Mitsubishi Triton/L200.
It should be understood that there is no official information yet, and Isuzu may use the current D-Max design to develop an EV version to save costs. However, it is evident that both variations are modern, stylish, and eye-catching in their designs.
Personally, I prefer the variant with the illuminated Isuzu logo as this electric vehicle has a captivating design: both sturdy and trendy. The front fascia impresses with its wide LED daytime running lights, combined with a prominent large grille and front bumper. The strong and bold design lines easily catch the viewers’ attention.
The rear of the vehicle is also modern with taillights designed similarly to the LED strip at the front. It features large wheels, muscular wheel arches.
The exact launch date for Isuzu’s all-electric pickup truck is still unknown, but I believe that if the brand dares to make a breakthrough with this design style, it will undoubtedly attract customers.
