In early December, the news of the official arrival of the Porsche 911 Dakar 2023 offroad sports car in Vietnam attracted a lot of attention from users.
After about 2 weeks, the car was registered and its owner was finally revealed.
The white Porsche 911 Dakar 2023 belongs to businessman Nguyen Ngoc Hieu, who is also known as the owner of the podcast channel “HIEU.TV,” always sharing knowledge about finance and life experiences.
The license plate of Hieu TV’s Porsche 911 Dakar 2023 is 51K-850.88. He auctioned off this license plate online for 155 million VND.
This third Porsche 911 Dakar 2023, which is completely different from the previous two imported Porsches, has a white exterior with some black details on the front and rear bumpers and wheel arches. Instead of having a number sequence logo, this car has a decal with the name of the podcast channel “HIEU.TV” and some personalized details.
The car still retains the 19-inch Zoll Dakar wheels in the front and 20-inch wheels in the rear, along with red brake calipers and off-road tires.
The Porsche 911 Dakar 2023 is based on the platform of the standard 911 Carrera but has been upgraded to be able to handle various terrains. Porsche has refined the suspension system of the car, raising the ground clearance by 80mm compared to the regular 911 models, reaching a total of 200mm.
When activating the Off-road High Level mode, the ground clearance will increase by an additional 30mm. This provides the car with a ground clearance and off-road capabilities on par with regular SUVs, allowing it to tackle speed bumps and road humps without worrying about scraping the underside. This mode will be automatically turned off when the car reaches a speed of over 170 km/h.
Powering the Porsche 911 Dakar is a 3.0L 6-cylinder boxer engine with 473 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed PDK automatic transmission and AWD. This power allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 240 km/h. In addition, the car also features 2 driving modes, Rallye and Off-road, accompanied by Rallye Launch Control to optimize traction by an additional 20%.
In Vietnam, the official import price of the Porsche 911 Dakar is around 15.3 billion VND (excluding additional options).
