VinFast VF5 Plus electric SUV price increase on the first day of the new year 2024

VinFast VF5 Plus has officially been on sale in the Vietnamese market since December 2022 with prices starting from 458 million VND (without battery) and 538 million VND (with battery). After one year, this A-class electric car model has undergone its first price adjustment.

Accordingly, the current price of VinFast VF5 Plus is 468 million VND without battery and 548 million VND with battery. Compared to the previous listed price, this electric SUV model is now more expensive by 10 million VND. At the same time, the reference on-road price of the car has also increased to 492 million VND (without battery) and 572 million VND (with battery).

Customers who choose to buy the car without battery will have to pay a monthly rental fee for the battery. According to VinFast’s announcement, the battery rental cost for VinFast VF5 Plus is 1.6 million VND/month for distances under 3,000 km and 2.7 million VND/month for distances over 3,000 km.

Furthermore, customers who purchase VinFast VF5 Plus without battery will also have to pay a battery rental deposit of 15 million VND. This amount will be refunded when the customers transfer the car or no longer need to rent the battery.

New price list of VinFast VF5 Plus (in VND)

VF5 Plus is currently the smallest and cheapest electric car model of VinFast brand in Vietnam. This position of VF5 Plus will be handed over to its younger sibling VinFast VF3 this year.

VinFast VF5 Plus is equipped with an electric motor with a maximum power of 100 kW (about 134 horsepower) and a peak torque of 135 Nm. The electric motor is combined with a Ternary lithium battery pack with an available capacity of 37.23 kWh, allowing the car to travel over 300 km after a full charge according to the NEDC testing cycle. The battery charging time from 10% to 70% with a fast charger is 30 minutes.

In addition, this A-class pure electric SUV model also features equipment such as Halogen headlights/taillights, 17-inch alloy wheels, leather upholstery, digital instrument cluster, 8-inch center touchscreen that can be rotated towards the driver, mechanical parking brake, cruise control system, rear traffic warning, blind-spot detection, traffic warning until the door is opened, rear parking assist, emergency brake assist, electronic stability control, hill start assist, and tire pressure monitoring.

Technologies such as driver profile setup, remote vehicle position tracking, automatic vehicle error diagnosis, unauthorized intrusion monitoring and warning, automatic maintenance/agenda scheduling, etc. are also equipped for VinFast VF5 Plus. Lastly, applications and utilities such as voice-controlled virtual assistant, online shopping in the car, remote software update, scheduled battery charging based on usage habits, and control of smart devices at home.
