Honda Vietnam has announced the introduction of the BR-V MPV model. This information comes as no surprise as dealers have already received deposits for this car model.
The Honda BR-V sold in Vietnam is imported from Indonesia. The car is distributed in 2 versions, namely the G and L versions, detailed information about these 2 versions has not been disclosed yet.
This MPV model uses a 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine similar to the Honda City sedan. This engine in the City produces 119 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and a maximum torque of 145 Nm at 4,300 rpm. It is highly likely that the engine in the BR-V will be adjusted accordingly to better suit an MPV.
Both versions sold in Vietnam have the Honda SENSING system, the higher L version is additionally equipped with the Honda LaneWatch lane keeping assist system.

This 7-seater MPV is expected to be launched on July 4. When introduced, the Honda BR-V will compete with rivals such as the Mitsubishi Xpander (555-658 million VND), Toyota Veloz Cross (658-698 million VND) or the Suzuki XL7 (599.9-639.9 million VND).
An employee from a Honda dealership in Ho Chi Minh City said: “The Honda BR-V is expected to be delivered from July and will have a price range of 600-700 million VND”. If the price range given by the employee is accurate, the BR-V’s price range does not differ from its rivals in the segment.
