Aito M9 is a premium SUV model equipped with many modern technologies developed by Huawei. The highlight of this SUV model is the integrated screen system with HarmonyOS 4 operating system and two projectors arranged both inside and outside the car.
Aito is a new energy car brand founded by Huawei and Seres at the end of 2021. After launching the M5 last year and the M7 earlier this year, Aito has recently introduced a mid-size SUV model called the M9. The company said the car is equipped with many modern features, including the latest technology from Huawei, multiple screens, and two projectors that can provide a cinema-like experience.
The exterior of Aito M9 is considered modern and luxurious but somewhat generic-looking. The highlight is the high-tech headlights reminiscent of Huawei’s Luxeed S7 sedan. The headlights are equipped with adaptive LED matrix technology and sensors that detect pedestrians or crossing vehicles. In particular, this premium SUV model is also equipped with projectors on the outside, which can turn any surface into a 100-inch screen.
Inside, Aito M9 is equipped with a large screen cluster, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch center infotainment screen, and a 16-inch passenger screen. In addition, the car is also equipped with a 75-inch HUD screen, 4 tablets for each rear passenger, and a laser projector. The infotainment system is supported by HarmonyOS 4 operating system and a 2080-watt 25-speaker sound system with active noise reduction technology.
The interior layout of the 6-seat Chinese SUV model can be adjusted according to the needs of the passengers, for example, folding the third row of seats to create additional storage space or reclining them flat to become a single bed. All seats are electrically controlled and feature heating and ventilation functions. In terms of safety, Aito M9 is equipped with 27 sensors and the latest Huawei ADS 2.0 system.
Aito M9 is slightly larger than the BMW X7, with dimensions of 5,230 x 1,999 x 1,800 mm (length x width x height) and a wheelbase of 3,110 mm. Despite its bulky size, this SUV model has a low drag coefficient of just 0.264 Cd.
Aito M9 comes with two powertrain options. The pure electric version has a power output of 523 horsepower and a 97.7 kWh battery pack for a maximum range of 630 km. Meanwhile, the hybrid version has a total output of 490 horsepower and comes with a 42 kWh or 52 kWh battery pack from CATL. In this version, the car has a range of 1,362-1,402 km with a fully charged battery and a full fuel tank.
Aito M9 is distributed in China with prices ranging from 65,726 – 79,717 USD (1.6 – 1.95 billion VND). The car is expected to reach customers in early 2024.
