The Hyundai Venue was introduced at the Hyundai Experience Day 2023 event at the My Dinh Stadium in Hanoi after its launch on the evening of December 16th. This event allows consumers to come and see and experience the vehicle.
The front of the Hyundai Venue is highlighted by a large-sized cascading grill with a Parametric Dynamic design, inspired by its older sibling, the Palisade. The projector LED headlights are designed in a separate cluster. The daytime running lights (DRL) are designed around the headlight cluster to create a distinctive feature.
The rear lights feature a trending design with a horizontal LED strip that runs across the tail of the vehicle. The details of the rear lights have a pixel-like design, similar to contemporary Hyundai electric vehicle designs.
The Hyundai Venue is a compact-sized vehicle, with dimensions of 3,995 x 1,770 x 1,645 (mm) for length, width, and height respectively. It has a ground clearance of 195mm and a wheelbase of 2,500 mm. The vehicle is equipped with 16-inch alloy wheels on both versions with tire specifications of 215/60R16. The Venue also comes with a roof rack, suitable for carrying additional items.
The Venue is equipped with a high-strength frame with an additional 65% of Advanced High-Strength Steel (AHSS) components, which helps absorb impact forces in the event of a collision. The Venue’s chassis system enhances the handling capabilities and reduces noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) through additional sound-absorbing compartments on the doors, increased stiffness in panel clusters, and the vehicle floor.
The interior of the vehicle is covered in upholstery, with a urethane steering wheel and an 8-inch touchscreen entertainment system located in the center, integrating a rear-view camera. The vehicle’s display supports full connectivity with Android Auto, Apple Carplay, Bluetooth, and also comes with a dedicated map developed by Hyundai Thanh Cong exclusively for the Vietnamese market. In particular, the Venue is also equipped with a USB Type-C charging port, the most convenient feature for fast charging, both in the front and rear seats.
The Hyundai Venue is equipped with a Start/Stop Engine button and a smart key integrated with remote start. The automatic air conditioning system provides quick and deep cooling, combined with air vents for the rear seats. The steering wheel integrates control buttons for setting parameters, switching music, and receiving calls.
The Hyundai Venue is equipped with the I3 Kappa 1.0 Turbo GDI engine, which delivers a maximum power of 120 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 172Nm at 1,500 ~ 4,000 rpm. The Venue is equipped with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, providing quick gear shifts with a sporty style. The Venue also features a Drive Mode with 3 driving modes: Normal, Eco, and Sport.
The Hyundai Venue is equipped with a comprehensive range of safety features, including Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Hill-start Assist Control (HAC), Vehicle Stability Management (VSM), 6 airbags, rear parking camera and sensors, and an immobilizer theft prevention system.
