In the upgraded version, the Kia Carnival receives updates from the inside out. Starting from the outside, the MPV model applies the new Opposites United design language that combines “exquisite refinement and SUV-like strength”. The notable changes are mainly focused on the front of the car where the Carnival has a larger grille and a refined front bumper. They are combined with new headlights, which have a vertical design as well as “Star Map” daytime running lights.

Moving to the rear, the tail of the 2024 Carnival is smoother as there is no longer a handle to open the trunk. Another change that we can notice is that the position of the Kia logo has been lowered, no longer serving as a split LED strip. The reflector lights attached to the rear bumper seem slimmer than before.

The cabin also receives notable upgrades. The Korean version has a curved screen that combines a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch infotainment system. In addition, the central control cluster has also been modified.

Moreover, the 2024 Kia Carnival also features an improved interior ambient lighting system, fingerprint recognition technology, and a UV-C sterilization box on the central control panel. Other highlights include an 11-inch HUD screen, Ergo Motion seats, and a modernized infotainment system with over-the-air updates.

In terms of technology, this MPV model is equipped with various driver assistance systems including: Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Rear Collision Avoidance Assist, and Highway Driving Assist 2. Along with that are Automatic Headlights, Safe Exit Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Remote Smart Parking Assist, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.

In the Korean market, the car is equipped with a new 1.6L turbocharged hybrid powertrain, producing a combined output of 242 horsepower and a maximum torque of 367 Nm.

Customers can also choose the familiar 2.2L diesel engine and the 3.5L V6 petrol engine. Other announced changes include improved suspension to provide a smoother driving experience and additional sound insulation materials for a quieter cabin.

The 2024 Kia Carnival starts at 34.7 million won ($26,601) in its home country.
