Kia Sportage Facelift Design Preview

First introduced in June 2021, the Korean automaker is now gearing up to release the facelifted Kia Sportage model. Drawing inspiration from Kia's recent upgrades, NYMammoth has created renderings to help enthusiasts envision the exterior design of this compact SUV.

The render images of NYMammoth show that the front face of the Kia Sportage Facelift is inspired by the Sorento and Carnival. The new design of the Kia Sportage exudes a modern, dynamic and robust look.

Although no spy photos have been taken yet, the Kia Sportage Facelift prototypes have been tested inside the Hyundai-Kia R&D center, while the first disguised prototypes will hit the streets in early 2024. It is highly likely that the car will receive some exterior design tweaks, bringing a more eye-catching appearance.

Regarding the powertrain, we do not expect the Kia Sportage Facelift to undergo major changes compared to the current version. Instead, there will be minor refinements to make the engine operate more efficiently, along with battery upgrades to increase the electric operating range for PHEV variants.

In terms of interior, looking at the recently launched Sorento and Carnival, it’s possible that Kia will also apply a similar curved screen system to the Sportage Facelift, along with the latest technology and safety features.

The new steering wheel takes inspiration from the EV9, paired with a curved 12.3-inch display with the infotainment system CNCC and many other features will be added to the Sportage Facelift.

There is currently no information on the release date of the Sportage Facelift, but it is expected to be launched around late 2024 in South Korea.
