Lexus recently introduced the 2025 UX 300h. Designed to replace the 250h, the 300h is equipped with the familiar 2.0L 4-cylinder engine, but combined with a new hybrid system that uses a more powerful electric motor. That’s why the power has increased from 181 horsepower to 196 horsepower.
Other upgrades include replacing the nickel-metal hydride battery pack with a more advanced lithium-ion battery. The crossover also adopts a new shift-by-wire transmission technology, promising “faster and smoother shifting experience”.
Thanks to these changes, the 2025 UX 300h is capable of accelerating from 0-60 mph in 8 seconds with front-wheel drive. That’s a 0.4-second improvement compared to the previous 250h model.
In addition to being faster and more powerful, Lexus estimates that the crossover will have an average fuel consumption of 5.47 liters/100 km, which is more fuel efficient than the predecessor.
Furthermore, in the new version, the crossover model is offered with a new Copper Crest paint color. Buyers will also find a more upscale cabin with luxurious chrome accents.
Moreover, the Premium and F Sport variants are upgraded with a larger 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, replacing the previous 8-inch display. However, the base variants still retain a 7-inch screen. The F Sport Handling variant is equipped with a new power-adjustable trunk with a foot sensor for hands-free trunk opening.
Last but not least, the Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 has been upgraded to the new 3.0 version, which includes features such as All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, and Pre-collision System with Pedestrian Detection. They are combined with Traffic Sign Recognition, Active Steering Assist, and Lane Departure Alert with Lane Tracing Assist.
The price of the 2025 Lexus UX has not been announced yet.
