Toyota Fortuner upgraded, price reduced by millions of dong in Vietnam

Starting from January 2024, Toyota will upgrade the entertainment screen to a 9-inch one with wireless phone connectivity. It will also add 2 new colors, pearl white with a black roof and bronze with a black roof, to the Fortuner Legender model, which includes the 2.4AT 4×2 and 2.8AT 4×4 versions. Previously, these two Toyota Fortuner versions were equipped with an 8-inch entertainment screen and had Euro 4 emission standards. The 2024 Toyota Fortuner is a diesel engine model that meets Euro 5 emission standards.

In addition to the equipment upgrades, the Fortuner also receives a price adjustment with a reduction ranging from 64 to 120 million VND for 5 versions. However, the 2.8 AT 4×4 and 2.4 MT 4×2 versions are not included in this price reduction.

Furthermore, Toyota Vietnam has implemented new prices for some models (including 10% VAT) and for vehicles with invoices issued from January 2, 2024. The specific information is as follows:

Accordingly, the Toyota Raize model has a price reduction of up to 54 million VND, starting from 552 million VND to a new starting price of only 498 million VND. The Yaris Cross model also sees a reduction of 80 million VND for the petrol engine version and 73 million VND for the hybrid version, with prices now at 650 million VND and 765 million VND respectively.

Since its introduction in 2009, the Toyota Fortuner has sold over 100,000 units in the past 14 years. However, with strong competition from new models, Toyota’s SUV has not achieved the desired sales figures recently. With the significant price reductions for popular versions, the Toyota Fortuner is expected to achieve optimistic sales figures in the near future.
