The design of the new generation Kia Sportage takes inspiration from the latest Sorento and Carnival models.

The current version of Kia Sportage was launched in 2021 and 2024 is the ideal time for a mid-cycle upgrade. The test version of the Kia Sportage facelift has appeared at the Hyundai – Kia testing center in South Korea, but it was heavily camouflaged. Therefore, it is difficult for enthusiasts to recognize the changes in the design of the 2025 Kia Sportage. Currently, the Korean automaker has not revealed any information about the new generation of this SUV.

However, recently, the YouTube channel NYMammoth has released a video predicting the design of the 2025 Kia Sportage. The clip shows that the “external appearance” of the new generation Kia Sportage has been inspired by the latest Sorento and Carnival. For now, they have only outlined the front 3/4 of the car with a front-end design similar to the mentioned models. It should be noted that this is just a prediction from the NYMammoth YouTube channel.

Inside the cabin, the 2025 Kia Sportage is expected to be equipped with a large curved display similar to the Sorento and Carnival. Safety, convenience, and modern connectivity technologies will also be added. The steering wheel similar to the EV9 may be another change.

As for the powertrain, the 2025 Kia Sportage is not expected to undergo major changes. But it is certain that the dual-clutch transmission will disappear and make way for an 8-speed automatic transmission. Other changes are likely to revolve around comprehensive refinement of existing options. The fuel efficiency of regular models may increase, and the plug-in hybrid (PHEV) version may have a slightly larger battery to supplement the fuel-free driving range.

According to the plan, the new generation of Kia Sportage will be launched in South Korea at the end of 2024.
