Over more than a decade in the Vietnamese market, Honda Air Blade has affirmed its position as a mid-range scooter that accompanies the development of every Vietnamese family.
Nothing compares to the users – the ones who directly use the vehicle daily – commenting and reviewing their own scooter. That’s why this article will extract the opinions of two users: Nguyen Hoang Anh and Bui Duc Viet – the ones who directly commute with Honda Air Blade.
First, sharing about the reason to choose Honda Air Blade as a daily means of transportation, Hoang Anh said: his family also had a first-generation Air Blade (produced in 2007). Hoang Anh was brought to school by his father on that Honda scooter for 12 years.
Until now, after 15 years of rolling, Hoang Anh’s father’s scooter still runs perfectly. Durability, reliability, and long-term attachment are the persuasive reasons for Hoang Anh to buy a new Air Blade for himself.
As for me, Duc Viet said that Honda Air Blade has a very eye-catching design. As a young person with personality, Viet feels that the details of the scooter – such as the front lights or the square corners – are very strong, masculine, and suitable for his strong style.
In addition, the new-generation Honda Air Blade is also equipped with the ESP+ 160cc engine; as well as a multi-function digital display – very satisfying for those young people who love speed and modern technology.
Adding more opinions about the design of the Honda Air Blade, Hoang Anh affirmed that the current new-generation products are much more youthful and modern – suitable for young people. As for the old-generation Air Blade products, they have fewer corners, more neutral, and somewhat more mature (but the advantage is that they do not become outdated over time – after 15 years, they still look beautiful).
Next, assessing the values that Honda Air Blade brings to users, Hoang Anh happily listed: the Air Blade, like other Honda motorcycles, always gives owners a sense of peace thanks to its durable performance, low breakdowns, and fuel efficiency.
In addition, Honda Air Blade is also very practical when the fuel tank is moved down under the foot to provide a spacious storage compartment with convenient lighting. With the Air Blade, Hoang Anh can comfortably bring a lot of personal belongings to serve his work and daily life.
Agreeing with those viewpoints, Duc Viet also added: the 160cc version of Honda Air Blade offers users a very powerful performance. At a red light, twisting the throttle, the scooter speeds up, very lively and “sharp.” Moreover, the scooter is also equipped with ABS brakes – ensuring safety and providing peace of mind when driving on slippery roads or rainy days.
Another commendable point for Honda Air Blade: the color of the scooter has been adjusted, with more color options, and the paint layer itself has been processed to make it more scratch-resistant and more durable.
Moreover, the scooter is equipped with a USB charging port in the compartment, which is very useful when the user forgets to charge the phone. However, users should also consider not to charge the phone while moving or when parking under the sun because the temperature in the compartment is high, which can damage electronic devices and pose a potential danger of fire or explosion.
A rare disadvantage on Honda Air Blade – according to Hoang Anh – is that the scooter has not been equipped with hooks for hanging items. Although the storage compartment is spacious, in many daily use cases (such as going to the market to buy fresh food); users still need a hook in the front.
In addition, the fuel tank is moved down under the foot for easy refueling without opening the seat and the storage compartment is larger; but it also hinders the placement of items compared to scooters with a flat floor (such as Vision, Lead, or Sh).
Furthermore, the rear suspension system of the Air Blade is quite stiff, which can cause uncomfortable impact force to the passengers sitting behind when the scooter goes through rough roads or speed bumps. But on the other hand, those users who love speed like Duc Viet really appreciate this sturdy and firm suspension system on the Honda Air Blade.
However, as a person who loves driving – Duc Viet hopes that the handlebars can be adjusted higher, to sit more upright, without getting tired in the hands, shoulders, and hips when traveling long distances.
Regarding the driving experience, Hoang Anh said that he is very satisfied with the performance of his Honda Air Blade 125cc. Smooth, compact, and durable are the opinions that Hoang Anh has for this scooter. Unlike the 160cc version, Honda Air Blade 125cc brings tranquility, gentleness, and most importantly smoothness in every twist of the throttle.
As for Duc Viet – a person who loves driving – the Honda Air Blade 160cc brings excitement after every slight twist of the throttle. The scooter provides a sense of acceleration that is enough to indulge personal preferences; without sacrificing convenience.
In terms of operating costs, Hoang Anh said that he only needs to refuel once a week; equivalent to less than 100,000 VND. Every two months, the scooter gets an oil change, and regular maintenance costs are not more than a few hundred thousand VND. As for Duc Viet – using the 160cc Air Blade – he usually spends a little over 100,000 VND for a week of use and the regular maintenance costs are only about 200,000 – 300,000 VND – extremely reasonable.
Overall, Nguyen Hoang Anh rates his Honda Air Blade 125cc with 8.5/10 points after more than a year of use. The biggest advantage of the scooter is its durability, fuel efficiency, and gentleness. As for Bui Duc Viet, he rates Honda Air Blade 160cc with 9.5/10 points after nearly a year of driving. The powerful engine, safe ABS brakes, youthful design, and many modern features are the “money’s worth” points of the Air Blade for users.
