Starting from January 1, 2024, the Government’s 50% reduction on domestic manufactured and assembled vehicles’ registration fee has expired. However, there are still some models that are offered a 100% exemption on the registration fee by the company to stimulate early purchases before Tet holiday. Honda City is one of them.

According to the recent announcement by Honda Vietnam on January 2, 2024, City will be given a 100% exemption on the registration fee for both G and L versions. Meanwhile, the highest-end RS version of Honda City will be given a 50% exemption. This incentive will be applied according to a 10% registration fee.

Honda City currently has 3 versions, which are G, L, and RS with corresponding prices of 559 million, 589 million, and 609 million VND. With the company’s registration fee exemption, customers purchasing the G and L versions can save from 56 to 59 million VND during the registration process. The relevant amount for the RS version is 30 million VND.

In addition, Honda Vietnam also offers 1-year vehicle insurance for customers who purchase this B-segment sedan. The terms and conditions of the promotional program are that customers must sign a car purchase contract and complete the payment process in full from January 5 to January 31, 2024.

Honda City is currently one of the most expensive B-segment sedans, second only to the Volkswagen Virtus. Therefore, in the less active Vietnamese car market, Honda Vietnam continuously runs promotional programs for this model to maintain sales performance.

In 2023, City continued to be the best-selling car model of the Honda brand. In November 2023, Honda sold 884 City cars to Vietnamese customers, an increase of 17.7%. Cumulatively for 11 months of 2023, Honda City achieved sales of 8,391 units, ranking 3rd in the B-segment sedan segment, behind Hyundai Accent (14,700 units) and Toyota Vios (10,499 units).

Honda City has many competitive advantages such as a strong brand, sporty design, spacious interior, and full safety features. Specifically, the car is equipped with the standard Honda Sensing active safety system, including 6 features: Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS), Adaptive Headlights (AHB), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), and Leading Collision Mitigation (LCDN).

In addition, the car is also equipped with LED headlights, electric/power-adjustable/foldable mirrors with LED turn signals, 16-inch alloy wheels, leather seats/steering wheel, a 4.2-inch multi-information display, an 8-inch touch screen, an 8-speaker sound system, and automatic air conditioning.

Furthermore, Honda City is also highly appreciated for its driving experience. The engine of the Honda City 2023 remains unchanged, still using the i-VTEC 4-cylinder, DOHC gasoline engine with a displacement of 1.5L, generating a maximum power of 119 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and a maximum torque of 145 Nm at 4,300 rpm. The engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission (CVT).

Honda Accord: 40 Years of Automotive Excellence

Looking at the Vietnamese car market right now and humorously comparing it, we will see Camry as a well-behaved young girl, not outstanding in every aspect but easily becoming the choice of the “other half”. Teana, on the other hand, is like a dignified and tranquil woman, full of courage. Meanwhile, Mazda6 is like a hot girl, quickly attracting and captivating anyone’s gaze from the first encounter. As for Accord – with the elegance and experiences of a U30 lady, even though she is always praised by everyone, she hides something “difficult to deal with” in the minds of the majority.
