On December 22, 2023, the Vietnam joint stock auction company offered thousands of car license plates for auction. Among them, besides the high bid of nearly 9 billion VND for the license plate 11A-111.11, there was also a unique license plate with a higher value than many other special license plates. This license plate, 30L-000.01, competed for 30 minutes before finding its owner.
License plates with the numbers 000.01 from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi always attract the attention of many wealthy people because they symbolize uniqueness and superiority without rival. Therefore, there were many intense bidding moments for the beautiful license plate 30L-000.01 right in the first few minutes.
After a tense 30-minute auction, the license plate 30L-000.01 was sold at a price of 2.805 billion VND, which is nearly 200 million VND higher than the price of a Lexus ES car, as well as some other mid-range luxury sedans. This shows the attraction of the 30L license plate.
Currently, car plate enthusiasts are curious to know if the bidder who won the 30L-000.01 license plate for over 2.8 billion VND will pay the full amount and register it for which car. Is it a luxury car like the recent case where a wealthy person registered the license plate 51L-000.01 for a Maybach 62S, a rare car model that has been discontinued for over 10 years?
According to regulations, the winner of the car license plate auction must pay the full amount within 15 days from the date of the result announcement. This amount will be deducted from the deposit (40 million VND) but does not include the vehicle registration fee.
Afterwards, within 12 months, the winner of the car license plate auction has to register this license plate for their car. If they fail to do so within the deadline, this beautiful license plate will be transferred into the registration and vehicle management system, and the winner will not be refunded the paid auction amount.
