This is the third time in five years that the NACTOY jury has honored Kia vehicles as top choices for this award, and the second time an electric Kia (EV) has claimed the overall win.
Seungkyu (Sean) Yoon, President and CEO of Kia North America and Kia America, said: “The Kia EV9 represents a new model in the three-row SUV segment. For the second year in a row, all three finalists were either electric or electric-dominant. This win shows that the EV9 is not only a top utility vehicle, but also an exemplary EV.”
Following the Kia EV6’s prestigious NACTOY award win last year, the all-new Kia EV9 is the first mainstream three-row electric SUV for the U.S. market. With a starting price of only $54,900 and an estimated maximum range of 490 kilometers for the Light Long Range RWD model, the 2024 Kia EV9 has garnered significant attention from American consumers.
