After the incident during the trip from Hanoi to Hai Duong, billionaire Hoang Kim Khanh had to transfer the million-dollar “super product” Koenigsegg Regera to the factory in Sweden for repairs.

Since returning to Vietnam in early 2022, the Koenigsegg Regera of billionaire Hoang Kim Khanh has only appeared 3 times. The first time, the car was taken to Da Nang. Then Can Tho was the next place where the car was seen rolling.

The third time was during the Hanoi – Quang Ninh – Hai Duong trip organized by billionaire Hoang Kim Khanh in June 2022. Since then, the car has not returned to the streets. It is known that the reason is because the million-dollar supercar Koenigsegg Regera was broken while traveling on the Hanoi – Hai Phong Expressway.

At that time, the billionaire from Hai Duong had to quickly bring the car back to Saigon for repairs. However, even when the two engineers from Koenigsegg came to Vietnam to “treat” the Regera, the situation did not improve. Therefore, billionaire Hoang Kim Khanh decided to bring the Koenigsegg Regera back to the factory of the company in Ängelholm, Skåne County, Sweden for maintenance and repairs.

Before heading to Sweden, the supercar returned to Cambodia and then was sent to Thailand. It is likely that this expensive supercar was supported by Koenigsegg’s distributor in Thailand to transport the car back to the factory.

Recently, billionaire Hoang Kim Khanh has revealed the current situation of the million-dollar supercar through a letter the company sent to him. Accordingly, after more than a year of repair abroad, his Koenigsegg Regera has recovered and the billionaire from Hai Duong was invited to Sweden to receive the car. With this difficult “treatment” journey, the estimated cost that billionaire Hoang Kim Khanh had to spend to repair the Koenigsegg Regera is not small.

Worldwide, there are only 80 units of the Regera. If the Koenigsegg Regera is registered in Vietnam, the estimated cost, after fully paying all taxes and fees, can range from 120 to 250 billion VND (depending on the car’s price).

Koenigsegg Regera is the successor model of Koenigsegg Agera. As a true masterpiece, Regera is also limited to 80 units worldwide. It is equipped with a 5.0L V8 engine, combined with 3 additional electric motors, generating a maximum total power of over 1,500 horsepower, allowing the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, from 150 to 250 km/h in 3.2 seconds, and from 0 to 400 km/h in just 20 seconds before reaching a maximum speed of about 400 km/h.
