According to Filipino press reports, VinFast is actively seeking high-level management personnel, similar to the recruitment methods of other car brands in the past.
According to the Filipino automotive magazine Autoindustriya, VinFast has established a motorcycle office in the Philippines as a subsidiary, rather than a local distribution partner. In addition, the Vietnamese automaker is also actively advertising on social media.
Recently, social media platforms in the Philippines have seen many posts about electric VinFast cars running in Bonifacio Global City – a large business and financial district in Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines.
Autoindustriya also stated that VinFast is actively recruiting experienced executives for important roles within the company. Similar to how other brands have recruited key personnel in the past.
VinFast’s expansion into the Philippines market has been planned in advance. At the “Future Mobility Asia 2023” exhibition in Bangkok, Thailand in May, VinFast announced its expansion into the Southeast Asian market with a complete range of electric cars and the global launch of four electric car models.
Ms. Le Thi Thu Thuy – Vice Chairman of Vingroup and Chairman of VinFast stated: “Expanding into the Southeast Asian region is part of VinFast’s global development strategy. We aim to bring smart, safe, and complete mobility solutions to ASEAN countries, thereby promoting a green future for everyone.”
In recent years, the Philippines has been one of the top automotive consumption markets in Southeast Asia, after Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand.
