The reason is that this is a rare auction plate from a province in the Central Highlands that a wealthy individual living in Ho Chi Minh City has been seeking.
Upon investigation, it was discovered that the driver of the Porsche 911 Carrera S is Minh “Brother Xí”. He is the founder of several supercar clubs and JDM cars in Vietnam. The license plate 82A-123.45 was auctioned on September 21st for 270 million VND.
Therefore, the winner of the auction for the prestigious 12345 license plate from Kon Tum province has registered it for a Porsche 911 Carrera S sports car. Currently, the Porsche 911 Carrera S is being officially distributed with a starting price of 8.53 billion VND, excluding options and on-the-road costs.
Minh “Brother X픑s Porsche 911 Carrera S is equipped with a 6-cylinder engine with a capacity of 3.0 liters, twin-turbocharged, generating a maximum power of 385 horsepower, an increase of 15 horsepower compared to the previous generation. The new generation Porsche 911 Carrera S now takes just 3.7 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h before reaching a top speed of 308 km/h.
The engine of the Porsche 911 Carrera S 992 will be paired with a 7-speed manual transmission as standard. Customers can also opt for an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. An interesting feature on the eighth-generation Porsche 911 is the addition of a new driving mode called “Wet Mode.” In this new generation, the wheels of the Porsche 911 have been equipped with a sensor to detect wet roads, which then calculates for the vehicle’s stability control system.
