Today, on January 10, 2024, the Consumer Electronics Show CES 2024 officially kicked off. Participating in this exhibition, the Vietnamese car brand VinFast officially introduced the DrgnFly electric bicycle model to the American market.

According to VinFast, the name DrgnFly is inspired by the image of a flying dragon, representing the glorious history of the Vietnamese people. This is a product designed in collaboration between VinFast and Eskild Hansen, a creative studio from Denmark.

DrgnFly has a classic style, inspired by the golden age of motorcycles and the future of sustainable transportation. This electric bicycle model is equipped with a V-shaped frame, extended handlebars, large tires, and an ergonomic saddle. The DrgnFly frame is made of aluminum to ensure durability and flexibility while riding.

DrgnFly uses a 750W motor integrated into the rear wheel, a single-speed transmission, and a torque sensor. The torque sensor smoothly adapts to each movement, detecting force changes up to 16,000 times per second, far surpassing the traditional sensors of conventional electric bicycles. Thanks to this, the bike can reach a maximum speed of up to 45 km/h.

Meanwhile, the battery is placed on the frame, allowing for a range of 102 km after each full charge and can be easily removed. In addition, the bike also has an advanced energy optimization system that helps users travel longer distances with various driving modes.

As an intelligent electric bicycle, VinFast DrgnFly has many advanced technological features such as integrated 4G connectivity and mobile applications. This technology allows users to change driving modes, remotely lock/unlock the bike, GPS tracking, and store trips through mobile applications. In addition, it also has the ability to remotely update software (OTA).

DrgnFly is not just a simple electric bicycle model, but also a choice that represents the lifestyle and personality of modern users. We hope that the unique design and smart technology features of DrgnFly will help make electric mobility a safe, exciting, and easily accessible choice for everyone,” said Ms. Tran Mai Hoa, Deputy General Director of Business and Marketing at VinFast Global.

In the US market, VinFast DrgnFly is expected to have a price starting from $2,800 (approximately 68 million Vietnamese dong). The bike has a 2-year official warranty with unlimited mileage. After the US, this electric bicycle model will be gradually introduced in other countries in the near future.
