On January 9, 2024 local time, the CES 2024 Consumer Electronics Show officially opened. Participating in this year’s exhibition, VinFast introduces a brand-new concept car called the Wild.

As predicted earlier, the VinFast Wild is an all-electric pickup truck. This is also the first pickup truck model from the Vietnamese brand, affirming the commitment to expand the product range and promote sustainable mobility of VinFast.

VinFast’s new concept car has a fresh and innovative naming convention. According to the Vietnamese automaker, “Wild” represents the power of nature and the spirit to challenge all limitations and breakthrough, aiming for a green future for everyone.

The naming of this concept car is different from the other electric car models from VinFast

VinFast Wild is positioned in the mid-size pickup truck segment with dimensions equivalent to popular models in Vietnam such as the Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux, or Mitsubishi Triton. This concept car has a length of 5,324 mm and a width of 1,997 mm.

The design of VinFast Wild is credited to GoMotiv, an Australian company. This concept car is the result of over 8,000 hours of research and development, with the participation of many top designers. Taking inspiration from the image of a superhero’s cape flying in the wind, VinFast and GoMotiv engineers have created the “Flow Power” design language specifically for Wild.

VinFast Wild features a compact and optimized design, with a flexible expandable cargo bed. Through the automatic folding feature of the windshield and the rear seats, the length of the cargo bed can increase from 1,524 mm to 2,438 mm. VinFast claims that this is the longest cargo bed size in the mid-size pickup truck segment, providing users with ample space for cargo, rest, or entertainment, maximizing convenience.

VinFast only confirms that Wild is a pickup truck that can conquer all terrains and harsh environments, promising to be an inspiration to break away from everyday urban life and immerse in beautiful nature.

Information about the engine and battery of VinFast Wild has not been disclosed

“We are proud to introduce the VF Wild, a model that helps further strengthen our goal of creating high-quality, sustainable, and accessible electric vehicles for diverse customers. This is not just a new product line from VinFast, but also the brand’s bold commitment to penetrate the rapidly growing global electric pickup truck market,” said Ms. Tran Mai Hoa, Deputy General Director of VinFast Global Sales and Marketing, commented on the new concept car.

VinFast has not revealed when Wild will enter commercial production

In addition to Wild, VinFast also showcases the small electric SUV VF3 and the electric bicycles DrgnFly at the CES 2024 exhibition. Alongside is the VinFast VF9 in a Spiderman “costume”. This VF9 model features new online entertainment services and allows visitors to experience it firsthand.
