Impressive International Visitors with VinFast’s Smart Electric Car Fleet at CES 2024

On the first day of the CES Exhibition opening, the booth of the Vietnamese automobile brand, with the focus on the “blockbuster” VF Wild making its debut for the first time alongside a series of impressive electric cars, attracted thousands of visitors and received a “rain” of praise.

VF Wild – A captivating electric pickup truck concept

Exactly at 10:15 am on January 9 (US time), at Booth 6417 in the West Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center, applause resounded continuously when the “blockbuster” VF Wild of VinFast made its debut.

As the canvas was lifted, hundreds of people present were “wow” excitedly at the impressive beauty of the Vietnamese brand’s electric pickup truck concept.

“As soon as it was unveiled, it captivated me. Although it’s just a concept, the car has aroused great curiosity from both industry experts and visitors,” Clarence Dung Taylor, a well-known showbiz figure in the Vietnamese community in the U.S., expressed his excitement. 

Although it’s a concept model, VF Wild has received much praise from professionals and customers in the U.S.

According to visitors, VinFast’s electric pickup truck has both the muscularity and strength of Tesla’s Cybertruck, as well as the softness and luxury of Rivian. Therefore, the car captivates viewers as soon as it is revealed, especially when they look at the luxurious and sophisticated interior.

Also present at the debut of VinFast’s VF Wild concept car, JB Morch, a design expert from OuterSpace, was surprised by the “beautiful design” of the pickup truck with the “Power of Flow” design language. With years of experience in the industry, he believes that VF Wild buyers will be proud to show off the beauty of the car. 

“I know it’s very difficult to design a car because it not only needs to be beautiful but also every detail needs to fit harmoniously. VinFast did a good job with this car,” the expert commented.

Having traveled nearly 5,000 miles from Oregon to Las Vegas, Jeff Zurschmeide said he was gradually getting used to the presence of the Vietnamese car brand in the U.S. He believed that VF Wild was a very important product of VinFast because pickups sell very well in the U.S. market. In the trend of electric cars on the rise, American consumers are still looking for affordable electric pickup trucks, as the current market options are too expensive.

“The manufacturer has not announced the price of VF Wild. But if this product has a good price and good quality, I think VinFast will achieve high sales because the demand is very high,” the visitor from Oregon expressed his confidence. 

Great opportunity for VF 3 and DrgnFly

The promising “new breeze” VF 3 will become “the electric car for everyone”

Jeff Zurschmeide also spoke highly of VF 3 – the mini e-SUV model that VinFast introduced globally for the first time at CES 2024. In the eyes of visitors, VF 3 is a very attractive urban electric car. The car has an eye-catching design that “everyone wants to look at, touch”.

Many visitors at the exhibition said that Americans have always liked large, rugged cars, but they are also practical people, especially the Gen Z generation. With a compact design but still convenient, VF 3 will be the ideal choice. In addition, for first-time electric car buyers who are not yet willing to invest a lot of money, VF 3 is easily “within reach”.

“If VF 3 is priced below $20,000, it will sell well in the U.S. because it is the almost sole choice in this price range on the electric car market,” Zurschmeide commented. 

VinFast’s booth also attracted visitors’ attention with the presence of the DrgnFly electric-assisted bicycle. Previously present at CES 2023 as an idea product, in this official debut, VinFast’s electric bicycle excited many people.

Brian Armstead, a content producer for WTOP FM in Washington DC, couldn’t hide his excitement for the DrgnFly. The design and specifications of the DrgnFly were rated as “very powerful” by the visitor. 

“I really like the DrgnFly. The ability to move on any terrain and a range of 63 miles makes the DrgnFly an attractive product,” Brian Armstead commented. 

Clarence Dung Taylor, who owns 4 electric bicycles for his children to go to school, is also optimistic about the prospects of DrgnFly in the U.S. market. In the land of Uncle Sam, children aged 11 or 12 usually wear braces and own a smartphone. Now, in addition to braces and smartphones, there is also an electric bicycle. 

“Every family with a child at this age invests in an electric bicycle. With the DrgnFly model, VinFast has hit the trend right,” Mr. Dung Taylor said.

Looking back at all 3 appearances of VinFast on the CES stage, many international visitors have evaluated that each time the Vietnamese automaker “takes the spotlight” with breakthrough products. At CES 2022, VinFast shook the world with the announcement of the switch to pure electric and the launch of a full range of electric cars covering all segments. Just 1 year later, at CES 2023, VinFast amazed visitors when they had the opportunity to directly drive the VF 8, introduced just 1 year earlier. 

American customers experience new features on VinFast VF 9 at CES 2024

Coming to this year’s exhibition, the Vietnamese automaker continues to impress the world with its rapid fire journey. From being a newcomer, in just 2 years, VinFast has made a very clear mark on the U.S. electric car market in particular and the global electric car revolution in general. 

“Having been in the automotive industry for a long time, I rarely see a company quickly launch so many quality car models like the Vietnamese automaker has. And with this pickup truck in the U.S. market, VinFast will surely drive the auto industry,” Dan Gittleman, Witricity (USA) technology company, evaluated while experiencing the VF Wild model just introduced by VinFast at CES 2024.
