Recently, information about the top supercar player in Vietnam, Mr. Pham Tran Nhat Minh, or Minh “Nhua” for short, has sold the Ferrari F8 Tributo that he bought back from his close friend, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong, also known as Cuong “Dola”, has surprised car enthusiasts. The owner of Pagani Huayra and McLaren Elva has only owned this supercar for 8 months.
In today’s article, we will quickly bring readers information about the prominent Ferrari F8 Tributo, once owned by 2 idols in the supercar world in Vietnam.
When did it come back to Vietnam?
On the afternoon of May 10, 2020, Cuong “Dola” shared images of his car in his newly built villa and announced that there was a new member in the new house, which is the Ferrari F8 Tributo that he ordered 6 months ago. This quickly surprised many car enthusiasts and even his friends.
Only 3 weeks later, this car enthusiast cruised with his Ferrari F8 Tributo right after the supercar completed the registration procedures. The license plate number was 51H-307.37. At that time, it was the first and only Ferrari F8 imported to the country, and it took another 5 months for the second car to appear.
How many owners has this Ferrari F8 Tributo gone through?
Although it has been brought back to Vietnam since May 2020, this Ferrari F8 Tributo has only gone through 2 owners. Cuong “Dola” sold this supercar exactly 3 years after he owned it, and Minh “Nhua” was the buyer. He experienced the Ferrari F8 Tributo for less than 100 km before selling it.
Interestingly, the person whom Minh “Nhua” sold this Ferrari F8 Tributo to was present during the coffee meeting when he bought the car from Cuong “Dola”.
Moreover, after nearly 4 years in Vietnam, this Ferrari F8 Tributo supercar has only traveled 3,775 km, according to the mileage meter provided by the luxury car showroom in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City, when they bought it back from Minh “Nhua”.
On average, this supercar only travels 85 km per month, which is quite low. In terms of this, the condition of this car only ranks second to the Ferrari F8 Spider, currently in the garage of Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu, even though the Ferrari F8 Tributo, once owned by Cuong “Dola” and Minh “Nhua”, was the first Ferrari F8 imported to Vietnam, almost 4 years ago.
Furthermore, the company that bought Minh “Nhua”‘s Ferrari F8 Tributo also revealed that the car had been purchased with an official warranty package, and the buyer was none other than Cuong “Dola”. This shows the difference in how they play and take care of their cars. With such a history, it is not surprising if someone quickly grabs this Ferrari F8 Tributo supercar.
What’s so hot about the Ferrari F8 Tributo?
Cuong “Dola” sold his Ferrari F8 Tributo to Minh “Nhua”, and later, it was sold by the Pagani Huayra owner to a person who is considered “a bridge to a new design language.” This car was created to replace the Ferrari 488 GTB supercar and inherits many designs and “internal skills” from the high-performance Ferrari 488 Pista. Firstly, it is the S-Duct air vent, inspired by Formula 1 cars like Ferrari 488 Pista. However, the S-Duct air vent on the Ferrari F8 Tributo has been redesigned by the Italian supercar manufacturer to increase downforce by an additional 15% compared to its “predecessor”, the 488 GTB.
If the hood of the Ferrari 458 Italia is smooth, the Ferrari 488 GTB has two small air vents, and on the Ferrari F8 Tributo, the Italian supercar manufacturer has placed a huge air vent to dissipate heat and increase aerodynamics. The engine compartment lid of Cuong “Dola”‘s Ferrari F8 Tributo is made of Lexan glass and has vents to improve cooling. This detail allows users to see the engine block inside and reminds us of the iconic F40 of Ferrari.
The changes of the Ferrari F8 Tributo compared to the Ferrari 488 GTB only come from the doors, the central control cluster, and the new multifunction steering wheel. Also, in front of the passenger seat, the Ferrari F8 Tributo has an additional 7-inch touchscreen and the Human Machine Interface (HMI) user interface.
The Ferrari F8 Tributo supercar is considered the predecessor of the Ferrari 488 GTB, but this “rider” still uses the familiar V8 engine with a capacity of 3.9 liters and twin-turbocharging. This “heart” of the Ferrari F8 Tributo will generate a maximum output of 710 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and a peak torque of 770 Nm at 3,250 rpm. These figures are the same as the Ferrari 488 Pista supercar.
If we compare the power of the Ferrari F8 Tributo to the Ferrari 488 GTB, both cars use a V8 engine with a capacity of 3.9 liters and twin-turbocharging, but the new “war horse” in Cuong “Dola”‘s garage has 49 more horsepower and 10 more Nm of torque than its predecessor.
The Italian supercar manufacturer claims that the all-new Ferrari F8 Tributo is capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, and in just 4.9 seconds, it can reach a speed of 200 km/h. The Ferrari F8 Tributo supercar can reach a top speed of up to 340 km/h, which is 10 km/h faster than the Ferrari 488 GTB.
