Despite being introduced in the home market in October 2023, the Kia Carnival Hybrid 2024 continues to attract a lot of attention from consumers.

At the Singapore Motor Show 2024, the South Korean car manufacturer showcased the upgraded version of the Kia Carnival 2024 in the middle of its life cycle. The displayed car is the hybrid version.

In fact, the Kia Carnival Hybrid 2024 has been introduced globally since October 2023 in the home market. The Kia Carnival Hybrid 2024 in South Korea is distributed with 4 equipment versions, with prices ranging from 34.7 – 96.5 million won (~ 645 million – 1.8 billion VND) and 2 interior options, including 7-seater and 9-seater versions.

The “appearance” of Kia Carnival Hybrid 2024 is a combination of many different design elements, with details reminiscent of some newly introduced models such as the EV9 or the Seltos 2023. This is clearly shown in the new vertical headlights combined with the stylized T-shaped LED daytime running lights. The front grille still has the characteristic tiger face shape, with horizontal or fox eye patterns depending on the version.

The standout feature at the rear of the car is the LED taillights designed with a 3D Starmap effect and an extended LED strip along the width of the car body and down to the rear bumper. In addition to the taillights, the design of the rear bumper and the tailgate has also been changed to look more harmonious.

Inside the cabin, Kia Carnival Hybrid 2024 is equipped with a central entertainment screen and a digital instrument cluster of the same size, measuring 12.3 inches, creating a dual-screen cluster. In addition, the car also has a heads-up display (HUD) feature.

The new air conditioning control cluster is neater and easier to use. The gearshift area has also been redesigned with a rotary knob. Some other notable features include a dashcam, a smart key, and digital rearview mirrors. The ergonomic seats are wrapped in premium leather, integrated with heating, cooling, and massage functions. The car has a two-tone interior space, which is elegant and luxurious.

In terms of powertrain, Kia Carnival Hybrid 2024 is equipped with a 4-cylinder, turbocharged, 1.6L petrol engine combined with an electric motor and a 6-speed automatic transmission. Thanks to that, the Carnival Hybrid 2024 has a total output of 245 horsepower and a maximum torque of 366 Nm.

According to the manufacturer’s announcement, the combined fuel consumption of the new Carnival Hybrid is 14 km/liter (about 7.14 liters/100 km), applicable to the 9-seater version with 18-inch wheels. The corresponding figure for the 7-seater version with 19-inch wheels is 13.5 km/liter (7.4 liters/100 km).

In terms of safety equipment, the car is equipped with the high-speed Highway Driving Assistance 2 system, which provides automatic driving assistance by maintaining a safe distance with other vehicles, maintaining preset speeds, and keeping the lane. Compared to the first generation, the new generation has added lane change support. In addition, it has early collision avoidance support, intelligent speed limit assistance, forward/rear/side safe distance warning when parking, steering wheel vibration for warning, and 8 airbags.
