Wuling is a subsidiary brand operated by the joint venture GM-SAIC-Wuling, and the company has made a global impact with its small electric car, the Hongguang Mini EV, which has achieved sales of over 1 million units in just 2 years. Building on this success, Wuling has introduced another small electric car, but with a higher-end segment than the model currently available in Vietnam. This car is called the Bingo.
Yesterday, on January 12, 2024, Wuling unveiled official images of the Bingo Plus, a high-performance version of the small SUV Bingo. The Wuling Bingo Plus is expected to be officially launched in the first half of this year.
According to the official images of the new electric small SUV Wuling Bingo Plus, revealed in China, the exterior of the car has undergone several changes compared to the standard version. For example, the front face still adopts a closed grille design to indicate its electric nature, but with added cut lines running along the front down to the bumper, resembling air vents on gasoline cars.
The chrome strip detail on the side of the car has been replaced by a larger black plastic cladding panel. The car also sports new 5-spoke wheels, elongated taillights, and a two-tone body with a floating roof effect. The most noticeable change is the new headlight design, with a prominent horizontal LED daytime running light strip.
Based on the interior shots, the air vent and central control panel have differences compared to the standard Bingo. The Wuling Bingo Plus, an expected small electric car, is likely to be priced under 100,000 RMB (14,000 USD), or 326 million VND.
