Yesterday, 13th January 2024, the Electric Vehicle Expo Vietnam officially kicked off at Yen So Park, Hoang Mai district, Hanoi. The exhibition will take place for two days, from 13th to 14th January 2024, and will bring together dozens of electric and hybrid car models from various brands.
Now, let’s take a look at the lineup of cars at the first-ever electric and hybrid car expo in Vietnam:
Participating in this expo, visitors can get a close look at the electric cars from domestic brand VinFast, ranging from VF5 Plus to VF9.
In addition, VinFast also showcases the full range of electric motorbikes and an electric bus at the expo.
Korean brand Hyundai also participates with the electric car models Ioniq 5 and Genesis G80 EV.
Notably, the Genesis G80 EV was previously showcased in 2022 but has not been released to the market yet.
The hybrid version of the popular Hyundai mid-size SUV, Santa Fe, is also on display. This is a rare hybrid model from Hyundai that is currently available in the Vietnam market.
Honda also makes its presence known at the expo with the hybrid version called e:HEV RS of the new generation CR-V. Launched in Vietnam in October 2023, the e:HEV RS is the only imported version of the new Honda CR-V from Thailand.
Meanwhile, Nissan adds excitement with its unique hybrid model, the Kicks e-Power. Unlike most hybrid models available in Vietnam, the Nissan Kicks e-Power uses a series hybrid technology, providing an electric car-like driving experience.
Not only that, the expo also witnesses the presence of many Chinese car brands such as MG, Haval, Wuling, and Haima. Among them, MG showcases the electric sports car model Cyberster. This is a model that was introduced in Vietnam last year and dealerships have started taking reservations for it.
Haval is represented in the expo with the H6 model featuring parallel hybrid technology.
Wuling brand brings the cheapest electric car in Vietnam, the Hongguang Mini EV, for display and introduction.
Haima, which recently returned to Vietnam at the end of 2023, appears with the 7X-E electric MPV. In Vietnam, the Haima 7X-E is currently available with prices ranging from 1,111 – 1,230 million VND for 2 versions.
In addition to showcasing electric vehicles, expo visitors will have the opportunity to test drive dozens of car models. This is an experience that users often have limited chances to try out before making a purchase decision.
In the area of accessory booths, Capco Vietnam will introduce leading Japanese car coating technology. Kata brings a range of products such as dashcams, Android Box, and floor mats. EVSE-VN and EverEV provide charging solutions for electric vehicle users…
Especially, the expo includes entertainment and culinary areas to serve visitors and children. In the entertainment area, there are activities such as coloring cars, drawing cars, off-road cars, and mini golf for kids. The food stalls serve coffee, tea, and fast food.
Throughout the Electric Vehicle Expo Vietnam, brands will have space to share and discuss the topic of electrification, providing information and answering questions, bringing electric products closer to Vietnamese users.
