Honda Vietnam has announced its retail sales figures for the motorcycle and automobile business in December 2023, with strong growth in both segments.
In the motorcycle business, by the end of December 2023, Honda Vietnam (HVN) sold 229,411 motorcycles, an increase of 36.2% compared to the previous month and a decrease of 10.4% compared to the same period last year. The total sales for the whole year 2023 were 2,088,557 motorcycles, a decrease of 13.3% compared to 2022. Therefore, HVN’s motorcycle market share in 2023 reached about 83.0% (calculated within the Vietnam Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers – VAMM), an increase of 2.8% compared to 2022. In the automobile business, by the end of December 2023, Honda sold 4,059 cars in Vietnam, an increase of 60.8% compared to the previous month and an increase of 74.8% compared to the same period last year.
