At the Singapore Car Exhibition 2024, Volvo also showcased the Polestar Electric Roadster Concept. This car was previously known as the O2 Concept and will be officially launched in 2026. Currently, this is just a pre-production version.

There are only 2 cars of this model in the world, and this one is called Sky Blue. The Polestar Electric Roadster Concept will be officially named the Polestar 6 when it is commercialized, with a starting price of $200,000 and only 500 units available.

This convertible 2+2 car features a futuristic design, distinctive “Thor’s Hammer” split headlights, elongated U-shaped taillights with yellow accents. The special feature of this car is the fully retractable glass roof.

The car is also equipped with side-view cameras for better aerodynamics. The video feed is displayed on a small screen in the front corner of the door.

However, it is likely that the commercial version will still have traditional rearview mirrors due to safety and regulatory reasons in many countries.

To align with Polestar’s environmentally friendly mission, all software components in the car’s interior are made from what the company calls “single materials”, which allows for easier recycling processes and reduces energy consumption.

The cabin also features a 15-inch vertical touchscreen infotainment display, combined with a small digital instrument cluster and a rotary knob on the center console. The overall look is minimalist and modern without feeling monotonous.

The power will come from two electric motors producing a combined output of 884 horsepower, allowing for a theoretical 0-60 mph acceleration time of 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 155 mph. On the other hand, the car will have an 800 Volt architecture and an expected range of over 300 miles.
