The Century SUV convertible version has been specially crafted to serve the future procession of champions, as requested by a retired Sumo wrestler.
Recently, Toyota unveiled the Century SUV convertible version at the Grand Sumo Tournament in Japan. This special edition was developed to meet the special requirements of a retired Sumo wrestler, serving as a parade vehicle for future champions.
Appearing outside the Ryogoku Kokugikan arena in Tokyo last Saturday, the Century SUV convertible has its roof and pillars removed, creating a design that is both rugged and agile. The car stands out with its pure white color, luxurious cream interior, and shiny chrome multi-spoke wheels.
The engineers at Toyota have made significant improvements to this convertible SUV, not only in terms of exterior but also in its ability to adapt to its new role. The interior is spacious enough to accommodate two Sumo wrestlers, the body of the car has been reinforced, and the suspension system has been enhanced to support the additional weight. The rear cabin is redesigned with a folding roof section that acts as a backrest for the rear seat. Meanwhile, the raised rear floor provides a comfortable view for the champions looking out to the crowd.
The Century SUV convertible is equipped with a plug-in hybrid V6 3.5-liter powertrain with a total output of 406 horsepower. The power is delivered to all four wheels through an e-CVT transmission and an intelligent E-Four Advanced AWD distribution system.
The price of the Century SUV convertible version is currently unknown. In the Japanese market, the Toyota Century SUV 2024 starts at 25 million yen (approximately 4.07 billion VND).
