Recently, the social media page of Porsche Vietnam Club announced a cross-continental journey covering a distance of 35,000 km from Vietnam to Germany.

It is known that this journey is expected to take place around July 2024. The trip will last for 65 days, passing through 2 continents, Asia and Europe, including 16 countries: Vietnam, China, Russia, Mongolia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, Switzerland, France, and ending in Stuttgart, Germany where Porsche’s factory is located. The estimated distance is up to 35,000 km. In Vietnam, the convoy will depart from Ho Chi Minh City and move northwards to enter Chinese territory.

Shortly after the information about Porsche Vietnam’s tour was posted, “mountain tycoon” Cuong Do La quickly registered to participate.

Porsche 911 Sport Classic and Porsche Cayenne are the two models chosen by entrepreneur Cuong Do La for the upcoming long journey. Porsche 911 Sport Classic is a limited-edition masterpiece, with only 1,250 units produced worldwide. The “mountain tycoon” ordered this Porsche in July 2022.

The “mountain tycoon’s” Porsche 911 Sport Classic is painted in gray, accompanied by white sport stripes and classic design 5-spoke wheels. The car has the serial number 1.202 and is decorated with number decal “82” on the side. When combined, these numbers represent the birthdate of this entrepreneur (12/02/1982).

Providing the power for the 2023 Porsche 911 Sport Classic of the “mountain tycoon” Cuong “dollar” is a 6-cylinder engine with a capacity of 3.8 liters and twin-turbocharged, generating a maximum output of 542 horsepower and a maximum torque of 600 Nm. The engine will be paired with a 7-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive, allowing this limited-edition sports car to accelerate from a standing position to 100 km/h in just 4.1 seconds before reaching a top speed of 315 km/h.

It is known that the actual price of the Porsche 911 Sport Classic is 19.22 billion VND, not including options and on-road costs.

Previously, entrepreneur Nguyen Quoc Cuong had the experience of driving a Porsche 911 GT3 through 4 ASEAN countries including Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, and Thailand in April 2023. The journey lasted for 11 days, covering approximately 3,900 km. However, afterwards, the “mountain tycoon’s” Porsche 911 GT was sold after the 911 Sport Classic arrived in Vietnam.

In addition to the “mountain tycoon’s” Porsche 911 Sport Classic, this journey also witnessed the presence of the limited-edition off-road supercar Porsche 911 Dakar. This car is owned by a tycoon from Hai Phong Province. The car was imported officially and had a price of nearly 15.3 billion VND (excluding additional options).

This off-road supercar has just completed a 35,000 km journey from Vietnam to China, to the Gobi Desert.

Powering the Porsche 911 Dakar is a 3.0L 6-cylinder boxer engine with 473 horsepower and 570 Nm of torque, combined with an 8-speed PDK automatic transmission and AWD system. This power allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 240 km/h.
