Recently, a dealership in Hanoi unexpectedly put the MG RX5 model on sale with a discount of up to 159 million VND.

Specifically, customers buying the MG RX5 STD model will now receive a discount of 159 million VND. The price of this version is now only 580 million VND. Meanwhile, the LUX version is also discounted 139 million VND, with a price of only 690 million VND.

Some other dealerships are also running promotional programs for this model, but with lower discounts ranging from 100 – 130 million VND depending on the location. In addition, customers buying the MG RX5 will also receive additional accessories and 2 years of body insurance and carpet.

After applying the discount, the current selling price of the MG RX5 is now as affordable as A-segment CUV models such as the Special Edition Hyundai Venue (579 million VND) or the Premium Kia Sonet (574 million VND).

This is the 4th promotion since this C-segment CUV model was launched in the Vietnamese market about 4 months ago.

The MG RX5 has dimensions of 4,571 x 1,855 x 1,719 mm (length x width x height). Similar to other MG models, the RX5 possesses a youthful and modern design. The front end of the car impresses with a large honeycomb grille, reminiscent of Lexus.

The headlights are surrounded by a C-shaped LED daytime running light strip. Below that are two large vertical air vents.

The tail lights are designed similarly to the headlights, creating a seamless look for the exterior. On top, the car has a cat ear-shaped roof spoiler (only equipped on the high-end version) to increase stability at high speeds and give the CUV a sportier appearance.

In terms of interior, the cabin of the MG RX5 stands out with a modern 5-seater configuration.

The seats are covered in two-tone leather while the dashboard and door panels are adorned with wood trim. The car features a 3-spoke steering wheel, behind which is a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The car’s 14.1-inch touchscreen is vertically positioned, seamlessly integrated with the central control cluster.

The car is also equipped with other standout features such as GPS satellite navigation system, smart key, push-button start, electronic parking brake, wireless phone charging, and panoramic sunroof.

Under the hood of the MG RX5 is a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine, delivering a maximum output of 168 horsepower and a peak torque of 275 Nm. The engine is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, with gear shifting time of only 0.2 seconds.

In terms of safety equipment, the car only has basic features such as electronic stability control, front and rear collision sensors, and a 360-degree camera.
