The pressure from the proposed retail price of the “newcomer” Hyundai Palisade (1.469 billion VND) has caused most SUV models in the E-size segment to offer hefty discounts to increase competitiveness.
The Ford Explorer currently sold in Vietnam is the latest generation, imported as a whole from the US.
In the 6th generation, Ford Explorer was developed on a new unibody frame system, helping to reduce the weight of the car by up to 90 kg compared to its predecessor, while delivering an image of a more spacious and imposing 7-seater SUV.
The car has dimensions of 5.049 x 2.004 x 1.778 (mm) in length x width x height respectively.
Inside the cockpit, the Ford Explorer is equipped with a luxurious steering wheel, an 8-inch touch screen integrated with SYNC 3.4, and a 6.5-inch digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel. In addition, the two 8-inch entertainment screens in the rear seats also support independent content viewing.
In addition, the car is also equipped with many modern conveniences such as: electronic parking brake, premium 12-speaker B&O sound system, wireless charging and type C charging. 3-zone air conditioning with premium filters.
Providing power for the Ford Explorer is a 2.3L EcoBoost petrol engine with a capacity of 301 horsepower and maximum torque of 431.5 Nm combined with a 10-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive.
In terms of safety features, Ford Explorer owns the Co-Pilot 360 driver assistance package with modern features such as: Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keeping Assist, Automatic headlights, Blind Spot Warning and Cross Traffic Alert, Collision Warning and Emergency Braking Support, 8 airbags, 360-degree camera, Rearview camera with self-cleaning function, Collision avoidance steering support feature using radar and ultrasonic sensors to detect objects on the road.
