On January 18, Ford Vietnam held a ceremony to receive the First Class Labor Medal at the Ford Hai Duong factory.
The event was attended by representatives of the leadership of central and local agencies, including the Provincial Party Secretary of Hai Duong Province, Deputy Ministers of Planning and Investment, Industry and Trade, Transport, the US Ambassador to Vietnam, and Ms. Kay Hart, President of Ford International Markets, along with many partners.
Recognized Journey of Receiving First Class Labor Medal
Ford Vietnam was honored to receive the First Class Labor Medal from the Vietnamese government, approved by the State President. This is a great recognition for Ford’s 28 years of operation in the Vietnamese market, with outstanding achievements in production, business, and significant contributions to the socio-economic development of the local community. This award is also evidence of Ford’s long-term commitment to investing in human resources, products, dealer systems, customer experiences, and community support in Vietnam.
Alongside this honor, the achievements in 2023 are also a proud milestone when Ford Vietnam received commendation from the Minister of Planning and Investment for excellent performance in attracting foreign investment in Vietnam.
Pioneering Brand for Innovation and Development
2023 marked a new sales record for Ford Vietnam with over 38,300 units sold, accounting for 10% market share. Ford continued to lead the market in the pickup truck segment with Ford Ranger holding 76% market share, leading the mid-size SUV segment with 65% market share, and the light commercial vehicle segment with 62% market share.
Together with the top priority of improving Quality, Ford Vietnam has continuously upgraded its dealer network to meet the increasing demands of customers. The nationwide network of 43 dealerships has created over 5,000 job opportunities. Ford has been improving in providing a convenient journey for customers, from selection to ownership of Ford products. A range of new service initiatives have also been actively implemented in recent years, such as Online Service Booking, Pick-up and Delivery, FordPass, etc.
With the trust that Vietnamese customers have placed in Ford over the past 28 years, Ford has become one of the largest contributors to the budget of Hai Duong province.
In addition to significant contributions to the local budget, Ford Vietnam strives to provide employment for local workers, especially in Hai Duong province. Currently, Hai Duong workers account for 90% of the workforce at the factory, and 20% of the company’s workforce is female.
In recent years, Ford Vietnam has actively contributed to social responsibility activities such as granting scholarships, creating playgrounds and libraries for children, providing emergency support during epidemics, and promoting road safety. Our Ford Driving Skills for Life program, which we have been implementing for the past 16 years, has provided free training to over 17,000 drivers nationwide.
