The Haval Xiaolong Max is positioned in the D-size SUV segment, competing with the Hyundai Santa Fe, Kia Sorento, and Ford Everest.
According to information from the Intellectual Property Office, Haval has registered industrial design protection for the Xiaolong Max PHEV SUV model in the Vietnamese market. Therefore, after the Haval H6, Xiaolong Max will be the next model to be distributed in our country by this GWM automotive brand.
However, unlike the H6 imported from Thailand, the Xiaolong Max sold in Vietnam is likely to be imported from the factory in Hebei (China). In addition, it is highly likely that the name of the car will be shortened to Haval Max as called in some other markets.
The Haval Xiaolong Max was first introduced in May 2023 in China. This SUV belongs to the mid-size SUV segment, with dimensions of 4,785 mm in length, 1,895 mm in width, 1,725 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,800 mm. In its home market, the car is available in 3 versions, with prices ranging from 159,800 – 179,800 Chinese Yuan (536 – 603 million VND).
The Xiaolong Max offers a modern and luxurious interior space, with the highlight being the 3 screens of the same size, measuring 12.3 inches. According to Haval, this SUV is equipped with the new generation Coffee OS operating system, combined with the Snapdragon 8155 chip.
The Haval Xiaolong Max is equipped with the Hi4 plug-in hybrid powertrain from GWM, including a 1.5L petrol engine, 2 electric motors, and a 2-speed DHT transmission, creating a total output of 279 horsepower and a maximum torque of 585 Nm. Accompanying this engine is a choice of two batteries, 9.4 kWh or 19.27 kWh, providing a maximum pure electric driving range of 105 km per charge.
