The Lamborghini Urus Performanceante is used by the Dubai police for patrols at famous tourist locations.
Dubai has long been known the world over as a true supercar paradise. However, it’s not just the residents who love supercars, even the Dubai police force is fond of them. Recently, the Dubai Police Department has added a Lamborghini Urus Performanceante to their fleet to serve patrols at famous tourist locations.
This super SUV was handed over to the Dubai Police Department at the Dubai Airshow held last year and was put into service “after a period of preparation and modifications… to meet the job requirements of the police force.” On the outside, the car is painted in two colors, green and white, along with the police logo, sirens, and emergency lights.
Lamborghini has not disclosed interior images but mentioned that this special Urus is equipped with a special information display and a gun box. The cargo compartment also has a wardrobe to “store service equipment and a defibrillator to provide first aid.”
The Commander-in-Chief of the Dubai Police, Major General Ahmed Mohammed bin Thani, said, “The Urus Performanceante will support the Dubai Police in better serving the people, maintaining social safety and security, as well as providing services at famous tourist spots.”
The Director of Lamborghini Middle East and Africa, Paolo Sartori, commented that the company is “pleased” to continue working with the Dubai Police as the standard Urus was delivered in 2022. He mentioned that “this new Urus Performanceante… will be used to carry out a range of public tasks and, above all, it will help enhance the security and safety of the city. This initiative also further demonstrates our long-standing presence in the UAE.”
The Lamborghini Urus Performanceante is equipped with a twin-turbocharged V8 engine with a maximum power of 657 horsepower and a peak torque of 850Nm. The car accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 3.3 seconds before reaching a top speed of 306 km/h.
