Last year, this enthusiast gained attention as the first person in Vietnam to receive the limited-edition Porsche 911 Dakar sports car, with a production run of 2,500 worldwide, and only 4 cars distributed in our country. Many people were curious to know if this businessman owned any other Porsche 911 models or if he was just lucky.
The answer came on a beautiful day when the businessman took his 2 sports cars Porsche 911 out for a sunbath. Among them, besides the famous limited-edition Porsche 911 Dakar, renowned for its nearly 35,000 km adventure from Saigon to the Gobi Desert in 3 months, the owner also possesses the first Porsche 911 Carrera GTS to arrive in the country 7 years ago.
Interestingly, not only has the Porsche 911 Dakar been repainted with gold and red rims, but the older generation Porsche 911 Carrera GTS owned by the Hai Phong enthusiast has also had its rims painted from black to a bright yellow, matching the “original” car color. Just for this pair of Porsche 911 cars, the owner spent over 28 billion VND.
But that’s not the end of the story. This Hai Phong businessman is also the proud owner of the Porsche 911 Turbo S 991, the first to arrive in the country. He had the opportunity to drive the car from Saigon to Thailand before reselling it, and the buyer was Mr. Dang Le Nguyen Vu.

The Porsche 911 Carrera GTS uses a 3.0-liter 6-cylinder Boxer engine with twin-turbocharging, producing a maximum power of 430 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and a peak torque of 550 Nm. The car uses a 7-speed dual-clutch PDK gearbox, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds before reaching a top speed of 310 km/h. In addition to the automatic transmission, the 911 Carrera GTS is also equipped with a manual transmission.
As for the Porsche 911 Dakar, the owner Hoang Anh mentioned that apart from the GT Silver Metallic color, there is no other color option more suitable for this set of clothes. The 911 Dakar itself has a remarkable white and Enzian Blue combination, but the owner is not fond of the blue color. When delving into the configuration options, Hoang Anh shared that he chose to install additional Rally Sport roll cage, a unique roof rack with accessories, and customized door sills with the message “Limitless Drive” according to his personal request.
Moreover, the owner’s signature is also visible on the door sill, reflecting his unique and distinctive driving style, even though this limited-edition Porsche 911 Dakar 2023 is parked next to 2 other cars that have arrived in Vietnam to be delivered to daring and wealthy customers. Lastly, the car has the sequence number “1904” which coincides with the owner’s birth date. Choosing the birth date for a Porsche 911 in Vietnam is no longer unusual, as in the past, Cuong “Dola” ordered his Porsche 911 Sport Classic 2023, one out of 1,250 worldwide, with the sequence number “1202” and an additional 82 by the door, forming the date of birth.
The “heart” of the first Porsche 911 Dakar 2023 to arrive in Vietnam is a 6-cylinder horizontally opposed gasoline engine with twin-turbos, a displacement of 3.0 liters, generating a maximum power of 473 horsepower and a maximum torque of 570 Nm. This engine is combined with an 8-speed PDK automatic transmission, allowing this sports car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds, with a top speed limited to 240 km/h.
An interesting feature on the off-road sports car Porsche 911 Dakar 2023 is that the ground clearance can be raised up to 80 mm, comparable to SUVs. However, once the speed exceeds 170 km/h, the car’s height will automatically lower itself, resembling a sports car. Additionally, the car has all-wheel drive and rear-wheel steering.
