The Jimny 5-door is produced at Maruti Suzuki’s factory in Gurugram, India, for both domestic and export markets. India was the first market to receive the 5-door Jimny with a starting price of 1,074,000 Rs (equivalent to 13,000 USD).
Developed based on the ‘Purity of Function’ philosophy, the Suzuki Jimny 5-door features a boxy body proportion and distinctive design elements such as clamshell-style hood, vertical slits in the front grille, and round headlights.
The interior primarily uses a black color scheme, combined with silver accents to highlight the brand’s distinctive functional elements. The instrument cluster and center control panel are designed to maximize the driver’s awareness of the vehicle’s angle when navigating rough terrains.
In terms of equipment, the car is equipped with the Smart Play Pro+ infotainment system with a 9-inch HD display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Arkamys audio, six airbags, traction control, hill start assist, rearview camera, and ABS with EBD.
The Suzuki Jimny 5-door has an overall length of 3,985 mm including the spare tire, a width of 1,645 mm, and a height of 1,720 mm with a wheelbase of 2,590 mm.
The luggage compartment capacity is 208 liters (332 liters when the rear seats are folded) and the ground clearance is 210 mm. The car has an approach angle of 36 degrees and a departure angle of 50 degrees.
In terms of performance, the car is equipped with a 1.5L 4-cylinder gasoline engine delivering a maximum power of 105 PS at 6,000 rpm and a peak torque of 134 Nm at 4,400 rpm. The engine is paired with a standard 5-speed manual transmission and an optional 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
