Prior to the launch of the Honda City 2023, many dealers are actively offering discounts for customers purchasing older models to clear inventory in preparation for the new version.

In a conversation with an online magazine, sales consultants confirmed that discounts for the current generation Honda City range from 55-60 million Vietnamese Dong in cash.

Currently, the availability of the current generation Honda City is limited at dealerships. Many sales consultants mentioned that customers can only choose between the RS and L variants of the Honda City with limited stock.

“If customers are interested in buying the current generation Honda City, they should make their decision soon because it is very likely that this generation of the B-segment sedan will be out of stock by the beginning of next week,” shared a sales consultant at a Honda dealership in Ho Chi Minh City.

The listed prices for the G, L, and RS variants of the current generation Honda City are 529 million, 569 million, and 599 million Vietnamese Dong, respectively.

According to information found on the website of the Department of Motor Vehicles, the Honda City 2023 will still have 3 variants like the current generation.

The L and RS variants of the Honda City 2023 will be equipped with rear disc brakes instead of drum brakes. The Honda City 2023 G variant will retain the same braking system specifications.

In the sales report for May, the Honda City achieved sales of 1,035 units and continues to be the best-selling B-segment sedan in the Vietnamese market. Year-to-date, the Honda City has accumulated sales of 4,623 units, ranking second behind the Hyundai Accent (5,913 units) and surpassing the Toyota Vios (3,476 units).
