A car driving test will have 4 parts: Theory test; Simulation software test of the traffic situations; Driving practice in the figure; Road driving practice.

To be granted a driver’s license, you must pass these tests.

If you do not pass the theory content, you will not be able to take the car driving test with the simulation software. If you do not pass the simulation software test, you will not be able take the driving practice in the figure. If you do not pass the driving practice in the figure, you will not be able to take the road driving test.

For the theory test, if a student fails this part, they will not be able to take the subsequent practical parts. Students must register to retake the test, and there is no limit to the number of retakes for the theory test. The result of the theory test will be kept for 1 year (counted from the test date).

In case a student fails the practical test (simulation, figure, road) they can still register to retake the test. In the first retake, they will only need to take the practical test. However, if they fail again, they will have to retake both the theory and the practical tests.

The retest fee will be:

Retest theory: 100,000 VND/time

Retest simulation: 100,000 VND/time

Retest figure practice: 350,000 VND/time

Retest road practice: 80,000 VND/time

Driver’s license issuance fee: 135,000 VND
