Quảng Trị suspends driver’s license testing

The Department of Transport of Quang Tri province has recently notified driving training establishments and driving exam centers in the province about the temporary suspension of driving license exams.

Prior to this, the Department of Transport of Quang Tri province conducted data verification of students’ DAT (Driver Aptitude Testing) data at training establishments across the province through the data management software DAT of the Road Authority. This was done in order to approve the list of students who meet the conditions for participating in the exams as prescribed.

However, when the software was accessed, the DAT data management software was unable to connect. After contacting the Road Authority, the Department of Transport of Quang Tri province was informed that there is currently a server issue at the Road Authority, and it is unable to query the list of students.

The Department of Transport of Quang Tri province has sent a written request to the Road Authority, asking for instructions on how to handle the issue, and is awaiting a response.

Regarding the temporary suspension of driving license exams, the Department of Transport of Quang Tri province stated that this is a technical issue that exceeds the jurisdiction of local Departments of Transport. Therefore, the leadership of the Department of Transport of Quang Tri province has requested that training establishments and exam centers coordinate to inform the students in order to avoid affecting their work and share the difficulties faced by the Department.

The Department of Transport of Quang Tri province also stated that as soon as there is a notification and guidance from the Road Authority, they will deploy the necessary measures to ensure the rights of the students.

It is known that the DAT device installed on the driving practice vehicles of the students will send data to the server of the training establishments and the management agencies. Through the DAT device and data, the driving license students’ practice time and distance are ensured as prescribed.
