Minh “Nhựa” is one of the pioneers in the hypercar shopping trend in Vietnam. His first car, the Bugatti Veyron, created a unprecedented shock, as the Veyron was once dubbed the fastest car in the world. After the Veyron, the son of billionaire Pham Van Muoi went on to purchase two other hypercars, the Pagani Huayra and the latest addition, the McLaren Elva.
Right after the McLaren Elva was unveiled in Vietnam, Minh “Nhựa” surprised everyone by expressing interest in another supercar. Not only that, but he also got a new license plate and transferred ownership of the Pagani Huayra from his father. He also hinted that he has purchased a beautiful luxury coupe. Let’s discover more about the duo of two-door cars that Minh “Nhựa” teased for Vietnam.
Revuelto confirms Lamborghini passion
Unlike his close friend Cuong “Dola” who is passionate about experiencing Ferrari cars, the 8X hypercar enthusiast Minh “Nhựa” has a special love for the “bull” brand Lamborghini. His first Lamborghini was a Murcielago LP670-4 SV, a limited edition model with only 186 units produced worldwide. When it arrived in Vietnam, Minh “Nhựa” quickly made a name for himself in various media outlets.
After that, Minh “Nhựa” also experienced three other Lamborghini supercars including the Aventador LP700-4, the limited edition Aventador LP750-4 SV with only 600 coupe units produced worldwide, and the Urus, a super SUV. Currently, Minh “Nhựa” no longer owns any Lamborghinis, but he plans to soon bring the Lamborghini Revuelto supercar home.
The Revuelto is a remarkable departure from Lamborghini’s typical lineup as it is the brand’s first plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, even though Ferrari had introduced one a few years earlier. The Lamborghini Revuelto continues the success of the Aventador, which has been in production for 11 years. The Lamborghini Revuelto has a starting price of over 13.5 billion VND in international markets.
As the first commercial Lamborghini with a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrain, the Revuelto has garnered a lot of attention. Although it still uses a V12 engine like its predecessors, it is 17 kg lighter and produces a higher maximum power output of 825 horsepower at 9,250 rpm, which is 125 horsepower higher than the Aventador. Combined with the electric motor, the Revuelto’s powertrain delivers a total output of 1,015 horsepower. This is the first commercial Lamborghini with a maximum power output exceeding 1,000 horsepower.
These impressive specifications allow the Lamborghini Revuelto LB744 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds, from 0 to 200 km/h in under 7 seconds, and reach a top speed of 350 km/h. Although it accelerates faster than its predecessor, the Aventador Ultimae, the Revuelto has a top speed that is 5 km/h lower. Even compared to its competitor, the Ferrari SF90 Stradale, the Lamborghini Revuelto matches its 0-100 km/h acceleration despite having a more powerful engine with higher horsepower.
Spectre: Rolls-Royce’s first car that doesn’t require any fuel?
In addition to Lamborghinis, Minh “Nhựa” is also fond of Rolls-Royce. Initially, Pham Van Muoi and his son owned two British cars at the same time: the Rolls-Royce Phantom and Rolls-Royce Ghost. However, they later sold both cars. Interestingly, one year later, Minh “Nhựa” repurchased the Rolls-Royce Ghost, which has remained in the family ever since.
In addition, Minh “Nhựa” had purchased the luxurious Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUV, but for some reason, the car has not been granted a license plate after several years. Perhaps this is an unfortunate situation that prevents this car enthusiast from experiencing the pinnacle of luxury SUVs. However, with the revelation of the Rolls-Royce Spectre, Minh “Nhựa” will have the opportunity to sit behind the wheel of the world’s first fuel-free luxury coupe.
Unlike Minh “Nhựa’s” previous Rolls-Royce cars, which were notorious for their fuel consumption, the Spectre is an all-electric vehicle. Therefore, his only concern will be charging the car and the driving range. Specifically, the car is equipped with an electric motor that generates a maximum power output of 577 horsepower and a torque of 900 Nm. Rolls-Royce’s first electric car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.4 seconds before reaching a limited top speed of 250 km/h.
The Rolls-Royce Spectre can travel 515 km on a single charge according to EPA tests in the US. This means it can travel from Saigon to Nha Trang with just one full charge. Rolls-Royce claims that 515 km is more than enough for their customers, as they typically drive several Rolls-Royces from their garage at the same time and don’t often take the Spectre out on the road.
Therefore, both of the cars teased by Minh “Nhựa” will soon arrive in Vietnam and they both share the common feature of being coupes. However, the Lamborghini Revuelto will be a supercar, while the Rolls-Royce Spectre will be an electric car. The estimated total value for this pair of cars is over 62 billion VND.
