In Vietnam, the Lamborghini Aventador has a considerable number of 4 main variants: LP700-4, S, SV, and SVJ. The S and SV versions have even fewer numbers, with only 5 cars brought to the country through the official distributor and private units.
Recently, car enthusiasts unexpectedly spotted a Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster on the streets of Saigon. This is one of the few Lamborghinis that are rarely seen on Vietnamese streets, as the owner rarely drives it around town.
According to research, the owner of this convertible supercar also owns a yellow Ferrari 458 Italia. This “super horse” is equally unique with its extended Italian flag stripes from front to rear. In addition, this wealthy owner also has other supercars such as the Ferrari F430 Scuderia and Ferrari F12tdf.
Unlike the first Aventador SV Roadster to arrive in Vietnam in 2016 with its matte yellow paint, this car has a Blue Lemans blue paint. This is also a rare color on the Aventadors currently in the country.
Essentially, the car still has many similarities with the other 3 Aventador SVs owned by the Saigon tycoon, from the black multispoke wheels to the carbon fiber details such as the spoiler, side air vents, engine air vents, etc.
The signature black wheels with center locking nuts that are characteristic of the SV series are on this car, with front wheels measuring 20 inches and rear wheels measuring 21 inches. Hidden inside are black brake calipers and ceramic-carbon brake discs.
Unlike the hardtop version, this car has a horizontally opening engine hood made of black painted composite material. This is also a detail that differentiates it from the yellow SV Roadster, which has a glass engine cover that allows the engine below to be seen. In addition, the car has the option of an “SV” logo on the rear fender – a detail not found on the first convertible SV in Vietnam.
Powering the Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster is a naturally aspirated V12 engine with a displacement of 6.5 liters, similar to other variants. This engine produces 740 horsepower and 690 Nm of torque.
The power is transmitted to all four wheels through a 7-speed ISR automatic transmission, allowing this “super bull” to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds – slightly slower than the hardtop version – before reaching a top speed of 350 km/h.
With a limited production number of only 500 cars – less than 100 cars compared to the coupe version – the Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster is always sought after by enthusiasts around the world in general and Vietnam in particular. The value of the car continues to increase over time, as evidenced by the first SV Coupe in Vietnam currently valued at no less than 30 billion VND.
