Moving into the new generation, the Hyundai Palisade will undergo a redesigned chassis with an extended wheelbase.
Hyundai Palisade the new generation has recently been spotted testing on the streets in heavily camouflaged disguise. However, from the leaked images, we can see that the design of the car has undergone some changes.
Prior to this, the Hyundai Santa Fe 2025, launched in 2023, also garnered a lot of attention for its bold and unique design. Although there were many controversies surrounding the “appearance” of the Santa Fe 2025 at that time, Hyundai will still apply some design elements from this model to the new generation Palisade.
Olabisi Boyle, Hyundai’s VP of product planning, has confirmed that the design of the second-generation Hyundai Palisade will be significantly different from the current model. She also hinted that the new design will be as impressive as the changes seen in the Santa Fe.
Despite being heavily camouflaged, it is not difficult to notice that the overall design of the new Palisade is more square. The front and rear of the car can be observed to have an almost right-angle interface with the ground.
Next, the daytime running lights and headlights have been refreshed, while the grille retains its large size. The A-pillar, roof, and side window frame, appear similar to the Santa Fe 2025 with features like straight lines and sharp angles. Although the test prototype has round wheel arches, it would not be surprising if the commercial production version uses square mudguards similar to its “sibling” Santa Fe.
The new Palisade will switch to a new chassis with a longer wheelbase than the current model, which will improve the interior space of the car. The car will have new engine options such as the 2.5L hybrid or the turbocharged V6 3.5L to accompany this upgrade.
It is expected that the new generation Hyundai Palisade will be launched in 2025.
