Suzuki has recently launched the 5-door version of the Jimny to customers in the Southeast Asian market.

Accordingly, the car will be distributed in the Philippines in the form of completely built units imported from India with 3 versions: GL MT, GLX AT, and GLX AT, with prices ranging from 1,558 – 1,708 million Peso (about 681 – 746 million VND).

This price is much cheaper than the expected price of the Suzuki Jimny 3-door (789 million VND) preparing to be launched in Vietnam.

The 5-door Suzuki Jimny is much larger in size compared to the 3-door version. The car’s length x width x height are 3,985 x 1,645 x 1,720 mm and the wheelbase is 2,590 mm.

In addition to the difference in size and door configuration, the design of the 5-door and 3-door Jimny is still the same. The car still has a boxy and rugged design, like a “mini G-Class”.

The car makes an impression with its round LED headlights, with automatic high/low beam adjustment. In contrast, the standard GL version only has Halogen headlights.

The 5-door Suzuki Jimny has a grille formed by vertical bars, along with 15-inch multi-spoke wheels, wrapped in 195/80 tires and a spare tire mounted at the rear.

In the Philippines market, the car has exterior paint color options such as: green, blue, white, and gray. Red – black roof and ivory white – black roof is only available for the highest-end version.

Regarding the interior, inside the 5-door Jimny, it is not different from the 3-door version. The car still has 4 seats and a luggage compartment with a capacity of 208L, which can be increased to 332L when the rear seats are folded.

The car has basic utilities such as: steering wheel with volume control buttons, analog instrument cluster integrated with a small multi-information display with a classic design, a 7-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto support, and a 4-speaker sound system.

Customers who buy the high-end GLX version will be equipped with leather seats, a 9-inch touchscreen, automatic air conditioning, and automatic folding rearview mirrors.

In terms of safety equipment, the car features a range of driving assistance features such as: 2 airbags (GLX version will have 6 airbags), ABS anti-lock braking system, electronic brake force distribution EBD, electronic stability control, hill start assist, reverse camera, and rear parking sensors.

The 5-door Suzuki Jimny is powered by a 4-cylinder naturally aspirated gasoline engine with a displacement of 1.5L, delivering a maximum power of 105 horsepower and a peak torque of 136 Nm. This engine is combined with a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic transmission and the AllGrip Pro 4-wheel drive system. The car’s drivetrain has modes such as 2H (2WD High), 4H (4WD High), and 4L (4WD Low).
