Recently, the Toyota Times News, an internal magazine of Toyota, has announced the top 5 cars that Toyota’s President – Akio Toyoda – admires at the 2024 Tokyo Auto Salon car exhibition.

It’s not surprising that this list includes names from Toyota and Lexus. However, the remarkable thing about these 5 cars is that another brand is included, which is the Suzuki Jimny.

It is known that the Suzuki Jimny displayed at the Toyota booth is a gift from the Suzuki president to the Toyota president when Akio Toyoda couldn’t order this off-road SUV model.

Due to his strong affection for the Jimny, the Toyota president personally went to several Suzuki dealerships to buy the car but failed to do so. As a result, he had to contact the boss of Suzuki.

However, the gifted Jimny is not a brand new car and it is just a standard version. Moreover, Akio Toyoda also had to wait quite a long time to receive the car.
